Walmart scratched all 4 of my stock 16" PreRunner rims while installing new tires. They are cutting me a check for damage. So I have a clean slate to rock some new rims.
Thinking of going aftermarket but I have no experience in that arena. Can someone suggest some 16x7 6 lug 5.5 rims that are quality and look high - end (I want to use my same new tires I just bought). I don't want to do any heavy mods so something that will swap easily.
    Thanks for any help/advice!

Will only 16x7 rims (the size of my current OEM rims) fit my existing tires (265/70r16) or will the tires also fit onto 16x8 rims etc?
Seems like 16x7 rims are slim pickings. Lots of 16x8 options.

Just for bonus fun, here's an example pic (there's about 14 of them) of one of the scratches (line of paint scraped off down toy the metal) Wally World put on my rims...

These are the new 265/70R16 Goodyears they installed. The old OEM tires are on in the truck pic in first post.

I ended up going with a set of Granite Alloy rims in anthracite (dark gray) from www.tirerack.com
Really happy with them and even happier once I saw them on the truck in person. Thanks for the suggestions.

Just had something similar happen to my TRD Offroad rims at Walmart. Was getting the factory Dunlops dismounted and they put nicks in two of the rims. Not nearly as bad as yours, but bad enough to piss me off.

They did the dismount for free, so I didn't make a fuss. I'll probably check with my local dealer to see if they have anyone that does repairs, or I'll just touch them up myself.

I think the real issue is the paint job on the rims. It's cheap. My Cherokee has factory aluminum rims on it and has gone through 4 sets of tires. Not a single mark from mounting/dismounting.

Now I've got to decide what to do with my OEM wheels. Sell them as-is or touch up/repair the chipped areas?
Has anybody had any luck selling their OEM wheels? Seems like they wouldn't be in very high demand. Price ideas? I have no idea.

Look out for snakes in the grass guerrilla marketing.
I still have mine in my garage, demand is pretty low tbh but they do sell.

Yeah I'm picturing them still sitting there in 2016 lol. Wonder what the must sell (or rather really want to get them out of my garage) price is? $300? $200?

On here most guys sell them separate or I've seen them go for 200 pretty easy - I would try Craigslist first though ;)

Definitely. I've already got some ads on the Casual Encounters section anyway so I'll just add onto it. (<-- joke)
    Thanks for the input, JDubya.

    Thanks for the input.

Had Walmart service my old RAV4 twice,
The second time they broke off the handle to the dipstick and I never went back
