I'm looking to do a 3" lift on my 2006 but I've never done a lift before. I've found two kits from the TW site but can't tell the difference in them. The 1st is this kit from toytec http://toyteclifts.3dcartstores.com/3-lift-kit-with-Bilstein-5100-Front-Coilovers_p_364.html
and the second is this from headstrongoffroad http://www.headstrongoffroad.com/headstrong-kits-tacoma-05-6-lug.html

I would have to get headstrong to put the shock together for $90 so their price for the kit would be $577+$90= $667 (they are offering some discounts making it $625)

    Toytec's price is $920 assembled.

What is the difference between these two kits? Which one would you get, they seem the same to me but $250 apart. Am I missing something here?

Similar parts. Different coils and spacers though.

I can get you set up with a the same kit from toytec or put something similar together for you. What year is your tacoma?

The Toytec kit offers shims and new ubolts and different spacers I think, but both comps can offer the same items. Headstrong is an authorized Toytec dealer as well.

Headstrong has a shim kit they offer for $31.99 with free shipping. The kit includes your selection of slide in shims, a new center pin, and center pin head lengtheners. They also offer new ubolts so they could easily make the same kit if desired.

Toytec does offer a discount code though, so if planning to price things out I suggest getting in touch with both and going from there.

Toytec discount code is 112710. I think it's 5% off
