I tried searching for the answer so apologies if this was covered.

I cannot fix my gauge with the normal soldering method of the 510 resistor, I have to replace the whole unit.

The new replacement part numbers are:
    2005-2008 83290-04030 Meter Assy, Accessory 1 - $110.99
    2009 83290-04011 Meter Assy, Accessory 1 - $232.19

I have a 2009, my question is if the 05-08' part will fit in the 09'?

The reason is the price difference, I'd like to try and save the money.

I shipped mine to the guys at siliconmethod.com. It cost me about $50 including shipping, and they did an awesome job repairing it!
