Hey guys, I'm used to old mopars, vw's of the air cooled variety and, mazda miatas. I'm a car guy. BUT I simply just don't know the good companies and websites to get the performance stuff for my truck. I'm thinking even the supercharger isn't enough. I want to turn my taco into the perfectly balanced truck for use on and off the road. I want to add about 100hp and an equal amount torque while maintaining reliability.

I want to add an additional gas tank to my tacoma. I want to use the space where the spare tire goes for it. That will be a bizarre mod I know and probably cost me a couple grand to do...

I want to relocate my spare tire to the rear of my truck kind of like how a Jeep has its spare mounted. Any after market kits to do that? I'd actually like to replace my entire rear bumper with something aftermarket.

Sorry man, no one sales/vendor site is going to do it for you. But you've come to the right place.

You're looking for some gucci stuff that's going to be produced in very low volume.

I'd use google to search this site, TacomaWorld, when looking for specific pieces - such as expedition gas tanks.

Custom fabricated rear bumpers that have a tire gate are a fairly common modification, and a couple of our site vendors build those.

Tell me about it...I blame my firearm hobby. When I hop on those forums I am often the guy that confuses your average redneck...I talk about night vision, weapon lasers, and IR like everybody has it.

then I hop on here...to find I am just the average redneck! Yeehaw! I want me truck to go fast! Actually I don't care about "fast" persay, what I want is my truck to be able to perform tolerably with the big freaking super swampers I have on it without wearing out the transmission prematurely. I'd also like to be able to pass cars without Prius like acceleration (once again caused by my swampers).

I believe my transfer case is probably about to go anyways so I'll be looking to do a transmission upgrade next.

I just checked out your links. I just want you to be forwarned. Your 4 year old threads might see some necromancy once I get to my CB and ham plans. :D

The crawl box is a transfer case?

Welcome to tacomaworld! It gets us all... usually starts like "i backed into a pole, denting my bumper. Aaand after 5 minutes on here well I've got a long travel kit and bumpers on the way" :D

I believe it bolts on after the t case. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong :)

It's an "extra" transfer case to compound your ratios and get extra low gears. I evilly suggested it when you said you needed to swap your transfer case.

Crawl box is hard-core. I only know one guy with one and his rig is completely over-the-top.

Home page on the left is a vendor list. Pretty much everything you'll need is there. Wheelers has a bunch of stuff, Toytec, bumper fabricators, it's all there.

There was a guy on here that did a rear mounted fuel tank from a Chevy suburban exactly as you described. I'll try to find the link...

Thanks, I had not noticed it.

Dude, please, I would greatly appreciate that. This 13 mpg combined with a tiny tank bs is killing me. I can deal with bad gas mileage, however, my range of only about 225 miles is not acceptable for my liking. I want to be able to travel 400 miles on one tank.
