Sorry to hear about your accident. Don't let it get you down.
We have a '08 Acura MDX, it gets around 17-18mpg around town and 23 on the highway. I wasn't that sure about it, or the AWD in snow or on ice until our cross country trip. It's her car so don't drive it that much. Drove it for 5721 miles and had a chance it play in some snow, I have to said, it handle good. But I couldn't get rid of my truck. I have a 4x4 and don't go four wheeling anymore, its just nice to have just in case I need it. If it was me I would find a good second vehicle and keep the truck for hauling and bad weather times.

Thanks for the advice guys, some of you have suggested "unmodding" my truck, unfortunately that will be quite difficult due to my high clearance rear bumper, going to look at a WRX tomorrow we'll see how it goes.

03/13-Sold 07 TRD Sport 4x4 6sp/MT. Bought new Titan 4x2, cuz I thought I was getting old, should get an automatic, etc.
16 months later, said "fuck that", sold the fucking Titan at a loss of $6K.
I drove a rental for a month, until my new Taco arrived.
Exact same model, color, configurations, only a 2014.
Only minor mods, very drivable, enjoyable.
Next trade will be to a wheelchair, supercharged, of course.
I have to agree with the earlier post, de-modify it a bit, you'll find new directions to spend your money.
    Good luck, man.

If your serious about the RS4 I wouldn't be too worried, the 4.2 has been around much longer than the 4.0 that we have. I would take care of all the easy stuff right off the bat and depending on mileage and wear I would do brakes and timing belt. Carbon build up is common with RS4s but its really not that big of a deal. If I was in your situation I would be all over that, If it was a B5 RS4 I wouldn't even think twice (legal for import this year)

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
You know, if you added a supercharger to your truck I think your troubles would be over. Power, economy plus the grin on your face has gotta be worth something. Here it comes....:crapstorm: :luvya:

A few years ago I convinced myself I needed something more fuel efficient and easier to park at college so I sold my 05 Silverado and bought an Acura TL. While nowhere near as fun to drive as an RS4, it was a lot more fun to drive than my Silverado was. That lasted about a year and then I wound up in a new Tacoma. Glad things worked out the way they did because if I hadn't done that I would probably still be in that Silverado but after all that I learned a lesson. Trucks are just so much more handy than a sedan or coupe. It won't be as fast and handle as well, but it will get you from point A to point B just like the car will and can also do a ton of other things an RS4 can't.

Got rid of my last truck and picked up a brand spankin new 350Z. Long story short I ended up in my current vehicle, a Tacoma. Wheels that spin fast are ok, but the novelty wears off quick. Bang for your buck, can't beat a Taco. Definitely stay away from Audi as well..

Agreed. Got rid of my truck and got a brand new '02 Mustang. Loved it for a while but after 8 years of driving the Mustang it was time to get back into a truck. Sports cars are fun but they are completely impractical imho.

Plan on keeping my Baja til it wont run anymore.

I loved the way it drove but it had been previously modded contrary to what I was told on the phone so I'm not interested in it. Then I test drove a 15 WRX and did not like it at all, the driving position felt like I was still in my tacoma, definitely not what I want in a sports car. Then I test drove a BRZ and fell in love, it is such a fun car to drive! I just don't think it will work for Flagstaff winters.

So I have a tentative trade set up for a 2010 335i coupe 6mt with him giving me 6k in cash. Thoughts?

OP-see what Carmax will give you. They beat Toyota by 3000 when I traded in my Outback for my Tacoma.

THIS!!! Worst decision I've ever made going for fuel economy, but whatever you think will make you happy. If you want to stay in the truck game, my buddy has the new Colorado... and I must say it's pretty shhhweet

    The better coast
The new outbacks are slick and the 3.5 gets mid 20mpg combined.
