so this is mainly for me to keep track of all the shit I've done to the truck, but i also want to show her off to all you guys and tell a little bit of the story behind her.

it all started with my very generous dad giving me the his "old" 2009 Tacoma DCSB 4x4, the day i got my first job the summer of junior year. no i did not get it straight up, i had to give him a significant amount of my paychecks to continue driving it, which proved worth it. Immediately after being gifted it i knew i wanted all the chrome to be gone

this is how it sat... shortly after taking that picture i found TW and thats where the fun and ideas came from
    [IMG]

Its absolute very first time being off road ended pretty well, didn't know what actual offloading was at the time so all i did was sling some mud around and crawl up some hills by the lake
    [IMG]

so i took the bull bar of and got a can(actually multiple cans) of plasti derp, which i went crazy with
    [IMG]

    and then the emblems...

then the hood (at this time i also got the OEM roof Rack)
peeled the scoop after a week
    [IMG]

off topic..heres a picture of the other love of my life...2008 SeaDoo Wake 215 SuperCharged
(sadly no longer in the family for financial reasons)

then i tried the tail lights...like i said, i went crazy.. I didn't like this so i peeled it off the next morning, also the light was still really bright. if your into tinted taillights that's an easy and cheap route to go. ignore the fist i got the idea to block the license plate when i took the photo but whatever
    [IMG]

the truck down by the lake (Lanier in GA)

then off came the hood plasti dip and on came the lift, i have bilstiens in the front at 2.5, and a rear 2 inch block which will get replaced in the future
    [IMG]

shortly after that i got the body armor step rail / "sliders".... i now regret not getting actual sliders, will in the future, i still love the look of these i just need something more durable that attaches to the frame
    [IMG]
you can also notice the stubby antennae in this photo which i don't recommend...it sucks ass

then i traveled to auburn to visit my older brother and picked up the yakima cargo rack while on the way
    [IMG]

and on the way back from that trip i got stuck for the first time ever and the truck sat in that hole for a few hours until an F250 came to save the day

    - window visors from the dealership ($70)
    - front window tinted at 30% and 7inch windshield strip done at 5%

after getting stuck in that mud the truck sat pretty much unchanged for a while, i think i did the fog light anytime mod after that as well as turn off the seat belt dinger. the next mod was the westin brush guard and some nice looking HID rally lights i found on ebay for $90

if you like the retro hood stripes i made them myself by looking at a picture of them online and sketching it onto some cheap ass carbon fiber vinyl wrap i bought on ebay, took me about and hour and a half to measure it out to how i like it, sketch, cut and apply
    [IMG]

    Crossing a creek
    [IMG]

and right after buying the brush guard and installing it, i had the lights wired up by a local shop, because i was scared of doing the work lol.

then i got an email from Vin at SCS basically saying hey Kev I'm gonna make you spend more money on your truck and i happily went along with the commands
(jokes, the wheels just arrived stateside after waiting 7 months and giving up on them, then i fell in love again and had to buy them)

    right after having them installed
    [IMG]

    picture i took in atlanta
    [IMG]

near vulcan rock quarry south of Dawsonville
    [IMG]

and this is how she pretty much sits today, i don't have picture of the rack in the bed of the truck with my Relentless fab bars but i should have some up soon.

so today i sold my body armor steps to MrSmith and figures id upload some images of how the trucks looks now since none of the pics show her in the currents state

heres a good one that shows the debadged tailgate with the trd emblem, custom bedside decals, and the relentless fab bed bars, as well as the cargo rack. in case your wondering, no i hardly use the gas can or the water tub but i think they look cool back there so i guess I'm a poser lol

I dont understand why people block out their plate numbers on forum when on the road it is visible for all to see.

Nice truck. looks like you enjoy it. I'm putting my avid off road sliders on tomorrow. they are bolt on's, just to stop a**holes from opening their doors into me. I cant wait until somebody clobbers my sliders with their door and i can just look at their damaged car and laugh.

yeah i'll eventually be moving up to sliders but since I'm currently in school and not offloading very often i'm putting money to better uses like books, food, etc. theres a couple mods i'll get out of the way first and then ill probably get some weld ons come summertime

yeah i kinda gave up on that whole idea since i don't really care and don't see the harm
