    Has anyone purchased these? http://www.amazon.com/Dura-Flex-Pocket-fender-Flares-2005-2011/dp/B00ONIXAHK

I have been wanting the Bushwacker pocket style fender flares for my Taco but I just dont want to spend $502 (cheapest I've found, well $495 if you purchase front and rear seperately) for them. I like the riveted style that is indented and not where the plastic sticks out around the rivets if that makes sense... Anyways, I came across these but its only showing photos for other vehicles and NOT a tacoma so its not showing if it includes that extra piece for the front bumper or not... I realize it says "4 pcs" but some will say 4 and actually come with 6 pcs... I just thought I'd ask around to see if anyone has actually made this purchase...

    Thanks!

I'm Also interested in this. I found some on eBay but the brand is "street tune" for around $300 CDN. Interested in if anyone has purchased these and how they fit/look. They are half the price of Bushwackeds so I'm wondering if it's sacrificing quality???

I am looking at these too. I would like to know how much trouble these are to install and if the stock inside fender liners will work these new fenders.

FYI....also at this time they only make the rear fender flares for the long bed.

I called and spoke directly with them. They might make rear fenders for short bed in the future. Call them and let them know there is an interest for the product.

Kurt, you spoke to someone at R&L racing about the Dura Flex flares (ones from Amazon)? In the features section it specifically states it will fit the 5ft short bed, not to say they aren't capable of mistakes.

    Features
Fits: 2005-2011 Toyota Tacoma Double ( 4 Door Crew ) Cab Fleetside 5 Ft ( 60" ) Short Bed Models
Add a rugged, bolt-on look with no drilling required, Extended tire coverage to reflect road debris
Made from Dura-Flex 2000 plastic for ultra strength and durability
All necessary hardware included, Pretty easy to install using factory holes
    3 Year Limited warranty

I ended up spending the money and buying Bushwhackers... I am super happy with them.

So how are you loving the Bushwackers Amanda? Have they stood up, notice anything bad about them yet. Critique please. I just ordered a set. I like the look. Nice rig btw!

Hi Matthew, thank you!!! I still am loving the bushwackers, no complaints. However because of my tire size they will occasionally pop out towards the bottom while off roading. If you just kinda hit them they pop back in. I will be modifying them a little further to prevent this. I already had to cut them when I installed so the tires didn't rub but it came out super clean and you can't even tell. I get compliments on them all the time and the truck as a whole. You won't be disappointed!

What tire sizes and lift are you running?
    Thanks for the reply also.

    Very nice truck Amanda !
I just recieved my Bushwackers yesterday :) and can't decide , but leaning toward color matching my flares to the truck. Like you I have a Black truck .... Your pictures are not helping because your truck is wet.
What are your and others thoughts on this ?
Color match Black .... Or Flat Bushwacker Black on gloss Black ?

Why didn't you get your color matched ? If you had the cash ... Would you ?

    Thanks

I bought them, but they are not as pictured on Amazon. They are actually the same style as Bushwacker 'Boss', meaning they have a raised area around each "bolt", which is not what I (or the OP) originally wanted. There were a few other issues, although the quality of the material seems good. The rears don't sit flush along a small section at the top, by about 1/4", but you don't notice unless your looking straight down truck. I might be able to solve that with some tinkering.

I've not seen this style on a Tacoma yet and I was in a hurry to get my truck fixed from my nephew backing into my front quarter panel, so I went ahead and had them painted and installed. They are quite aggressive looking and significantly wider than stock. Not sure how I feel about them yet, but they are growing on me. But I'm still on the fence. Maybe I need a lift and bigger tires to balance things out, opinions welcome...
