I have a 2013 Tacoma Double Cab Prerunner TRD. As the title states, I am newbie to the Tacoma family. I've had it only a few weeks and have done very minimal mods and upgrades to it:

    -Black plasti-dipped the stock rims
    -Blacked out the badges/decals
-Interior and exterior lights upgraded to LEDs
-Swapped out the 31'' antenna for a 14''
-Hardwired radar detector (Thanks for the help Tacoma World)

I'm on here to connect with other local Tacoma owners hoping to get insight on some upgrades/mods and maybe trade or sell parts in the local area. I am in the military so I'll be in and around several tacoma communities.

I'm looking to install a few things here in the near future:

    -Cold air intake system (K&N)
    -Leveling kit
    -Upgrade the rims
-Darken the tint on front windows
    -Nerf bars
    -Bully bar w/ light bar

If anyone has any insight or parts for sale in relation to my future mods please contact me!

    Thanks!

    -Cody

    welcome to the club man!

imho I am not a fan of chrome. get homertaco to build you a satoshi of some sort with a white edge..or do it yourself, he sells the mesh for it and there are tons of howto's.

I just bought the raw mesh and I'm going to take the plunge on doing it myself.

as for your bumpers.. front, go with some armor if you're going to do some offroad stuff as well as the rear (i see chrome back there too.. :/). But hey, I'm ocd so that's my issue.

Yeah I'm not a big fan of the chrome either. The wife is my biggest obstacle when it comes to upgrades mechanically and cosmetically. I have a buddy who's a welder, I'm gonna try to get him to build me front and rear bumpers. Thanks for the insight!

I'm actually in benson (south east of Vail). I'm stationed at Huachuca in SV but I grew up in East Tucson/Vail. I'm actually up in the OV and Catalina area a lot, maybe I'll see Ya around.

Nice truck man! I like your wheels. I'd keep em and save the money for a high quality suspension set up. But hey, that's just me!

I'm up in OV/Marana as well, but travel down to the U of A everyday so I'm all around town! We'll all have to meet up soon.

Yeah i might just keep them unless I can find a nice set of blacks rims for cheap on here. I got a wife and 2 kids, so a high quality suspension kit is waiting for me to win the lottery lol. I'm always on the westside visiting family. I live in benson (25 miles east of Vail) and I work in Sierra Vista, so if you're ever out this way I'll show Ya de trails this way.
