Ever since I traded my 2005 Tacoma 4 years ago I wanted another one. I was planning on waiting for the 2016 but wasn't to keen on the new redesign so I decided to just purchase a 2015 instead. I was also very tired of driving the wifes 2006 4Runner. When it came to color I was pretty open but in the end opted for another silver one. Even though it is basically the same truck I purchased 10 years ago I am thrilled to be in another one.[IMG]

I wish I got another silver Taco... looks great! 3rd time around I went with the MGM but silver looks so much better in the long run.

I think Silver is one of the easiest colors to take care of and it rarely looks dirty. I was disappointed Toyota cut some options from the previous one I had. I installed a Auto-Dimming rear view mirror with Homelink and Compass 3 days after I purchased the truck. I couldn't believe how much I had gotten used to the Auto-Dimming mirror from all previous vehicles owned. I would like to have the $160 back in my pocket but it was well worth it. The other thing that I am very disappointed in is they got rid of the limited slip rear. I would of purchased an Off-Road edition if I had known. Hopefully I wont have any trouble getting the boat out of the ramp.

Do you have a link to where you can purchase the auto-dimming rear mirror? I just picked up a 2015 as well....

I went a similar route. Had a silver 08 AC, traded in for a silver 13 DCSB. Originally wanted green, but silver is so easy to take care of I didn't mind.

Just go to your local Toyota dealer and purchase part number 00016-32012. List is $209.72 but I was able to get it for $152.25. I worked for this dealer for many years and they still give me employee discount. Check your overhead console to see if you have the harness already there. I was able to remove the 2 wires from the mirror harness plug and insert them into the male harness plug that was already plugged into the harness in the headliner. The black wire from the mirror will go to the white with black stripe wire (ground) and the other wire from the mirror will go to the key on 12V wire which I think was light green.

Homelink is basically a built in garage door opener.

Installed TRD exhaust today. The tip looks so much better than the stock exhaust and the sound isn't bad either.

Finally got time to take the boat out. The Tacoma pulled it great and had no wheel spin coming out of the ramp. The only thing I miss pulling it with the F-150 I had is the mirrors.

Nice set up. Do you know how much your boat + trailer weighs? Does your trailer have brakes? I am in the market for a new boat and considering options but obviously weight will be the limiting factor.

If I were to guess probably around 5K ready to go. I have stainless Kodiacs on the front axle. What are you looking to get?

I have a few options I am considering. The leader of the pack at the moment is the Boston Whaler 21ft Dauntless. I have the BW 16ft Ventura which is the same hull but is the one with the side steering and window across. I want to swap to a center console and a few more feet. I am somewhat torn between getting another bay style boat or a flats boat.

Might want to consider air bags for towing that boat. Wouldn't squat any more when towing. Just a thought.

I really don't want to install airbags. I thought about the Timbren kit. My old Tacoma didn't sag an inch after the TSB springs were put on even with the extra weight of the ARE topper. I am guessing these springs aren't as stiff.

I have always been a big fan of Whalers but they have become way overpriced for what you get. All boats are overpriced nowadays. The nice thing about Whalers is they hold there value very well.

Agreed, I have been talking to the local dealer and since I got my current boat from them and they have done all the services they are willing to make me a fair offer for trade in. I am just torn because I need something other than my big john boat to get up shallow enough for some nice red fish and big trout. My fat little 16ft needs at least 3-4 ft to get up and run. I have also been looking at the Hells Bay Neptune (used) but not trying to drop 30K+ for another boat.
