Depends, do you have a rack system on top of your canopy? If so I'd mount it there, if not then I'd get a bed rack. Or both :D

Got my tent a few months ago. Tepui Kukenam Camo on a temporary home made bed rack. Im going to be building a better rack in the near future but my better half is driving it daily so i don't see it enough.

As if there weren't enough suppliers, I found another one today. Treeline Outdoors. They're located in Canada and offer free shipping on stuff over $100CAD.

I am about ready to buy an RTT, and have it narrowed down to either the Tepui Autana or Kukenam. A couple questions:

    1. In the Autana, it seems that there is a hole into the tent, where the ladder goes up. Is the space around/beyond the hole useable at all? Is there a hatch? Anybody have some pics of the entry into Autana?

    2. In the Autana, is the annex fully enclosed (4 walls and floor)?

    3. Has anybody with the 'sky' version had any problems with it - waterproof, zippers, etc.

    4. Anything else of importance that I am missing?

I am HOPING that there will be a group buy in March (I think that is when they have been before...) But will be getting one for this summer regardless.

    Thanks for the help!!!

Here's some answers: The extended privacy canopy on the Autana is just that, a canopy to cover the ladder area and keep it out of the weather and allow for a larger annex to enclose the ladder. It's not a "useable" space per se.

The annex on the Autana is fully enclosed with a removeable floor.

the zippers on the sky version are only on the roof of the tent not on the rain fly, so the rainfly is still one solid piece so you don't have to worry about rain getting into the tent through the zippers. If you want to open up the roof, you roll back the rainfly so it's out of the way.

Here's the opening under the canopy on a Autana Sky
    AutanaSky_zpscc412ea4_7c3be6a26c35766a8906bbfcbe5a1a3b7756d61a.jpg

PM me and I can get you a deal on either one.

I went with the Autana over the kukenum because of the hang over part, as pictured ^^ the tent is the exact same as the kukenum (in terms of getting in and out, and able to close it up) just the autana has that over hang, very handy when its raining and with the annex. PM Adam (Box Rocket) he is the best with customer service and will get you a good deal :D

He loves camping, hangs out the window of my truck like a dog and even walks on a leash has no problems going up and down the ladder. I think he was a dog in his past life.

Get a Flame Point Ragdoll. My lady has one and it's the nicest cat. I don't even like cats and ended warming up to this one because he's so "Amazing".

The overhang of autauna is worth the extra bucks. When it snows or rains, your lower back/ass area will know what I mean...

Thanks guys, I'm pretty set on the Autana now. I don't want to go without the annex and regret it. Of course the lady also wants the Sky model, which is sweet, so I'm gonna save my pennies a little longer and go for the works!
