This is a ways out but I am coordinating a trail run for the weekend of 3/21, probably in the Moab area, nothing extreme, but a bit of a challenge at least. Most of the guys in our group have Jeeps. Right now there is two Tacoma's for sure, definitely would like a bunch more Toyotas! Let me know if any of you guys are interested. I may camp Friday night and possibly Saturday night, it may even be an overnight trail run.

    Site: www.cotrailruns.com
    Thread: http://cotrailruns.forumotion.com/t115-trail-run-3-21-weekend

Our site is free to join IF YOU WANT, but once we have a solid plan I will post it back here as well. You DO NOT have to join to come out with us. I do ask that you at least read the rules on our page if you come out with us. (No major rules, just basic off roading responsibility)

Hope to meet up with more Taco guys!

I will be at my cabin in red feather. Don't know if I want to run sevenmile again, unless it gets a bunch of new snow. I will keep watching to see what you all come up with.

Perhaps. I will be heading up Friday after work so I will post up conditions when I get there and the weather forecasts will be more accurate by then.

Cherokee Park might have some open, snowy trails.

Otherwise, Pingree park is open but it's just a ride down an non-maintained county road until you can't go any farther.

Green Ridge is listed as open, but you can't get to it, go figure
(Deadman road is closed and Laramie River Road is closed)

Long Draw Road is also open, there are a few side trails on this road. Forest Service states the logging operations are complete and the gate is open but I cannot verify. I'll bet it's a snowmobile paradise right now.

Bunce is prolly open, I personally have run that trail enough for the year.

There is a trail up Buckhorn Canyon that is open, I cannot remember the name however. It is a long drive for most just to get to the trailhead though.

The connecting road from Lost Lake over to RedFeather lakes is always a great time for snowbashing. Ice is on Lost Lake and the Forest Service is fine with people driving on it. Our club has the ice races and pulling contests on this lake every year. The same road also ends up in Cherokee Park going the other direction. Sucks I can't remember the name but I know where it is.
