Ok, i am in need of some help. Im having some funky sounds coming from my front end suspension items.

Sound really started accuring after the gulches trip with some of you, i noticed it while on first parts of the trail where my suspension was cycling pretty heavily from side to side.

Since then ive been hearing the sound while hitting a water runoff dip in my neighborhood while turning, this morning i put a GoPro just above the cab mount and drove straight over the water runoff dip and then turned around and repeated 3 times.

    Sounds are at
    :10 seconds
    1:22 seconds
    1:49 seconds
    2:16 seconds

Anyone with insight its greatly appreciated!!

I also posted this video in my build thread to try and keep my thoughts together over in that thread.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?x-yt-cl=84924572&x-yt-ts=1422411861&v=UxSRKO2Azjk

Video 2 looking at the UCA from the front fender wall looking towards the cab

(my initial thoughts were its coming from the LCA, but looking at this angle there seems to be a lot of body flex on that forward section of frame mounts) Lower left of video every time the noise happens. Frame mount bushings? who knows

    sounds at
    :20sec
    :34sec
    1:30sec
    1:58sec

Have you checked your spring for paint rub marks? It's hard to tell from the video, but I'm wondering if the upward flexing of the spring perch is allowing the coil to come in contact with the side.

On a completely different topic has anyone ever used the $56 LED rock lights shown at the bottom of the thread 1st from the right? what about the oil drain valve 4th from the right?

I've got a Fumoto and love it. They do stick down further, and there has been some discussion about how they might interfere with skids, or might be more likely to hit a rock.

FWIW, my dad put one on his 1990 Montero the 2nd oil change and it hasn't had an issue yet with 275K on the ODO.

Don't know anything about the rock lights.

Just make sure it's well protected for wheeling. Mine is at least 1/2 inch above my skid and somehow a rock still snuck in there and hit it.
    Skid probably deflected some.

i have the fumoto too, wouldnt have it any other way!! no tools needed for a oil change, yes and thanks!!

Although if i didnt have a stout IFS skid protecting it and went offroad even once i would give it a second thought, you sheer that thing off and you would be in a world of hurt QUICK.

Hahaha when I was in the Marine Corps, me and some other Marine took a brand new Hummer though 29 palms desert hauling ass (baja qual). We hit this one jump not knowing the road turned on the other side and went flying into a hill and smashed the right front end and fender when we landed. Oops lucky we had our vest and helmets on :p

Haha I thought it was too, especially funny because I kept asking for a mechanic to come take a look because it's not starting, yet they said "keep trying keep trying keep cranking it, it'll go, it's just cold"
Oooook... 10 mins later the engine goes up in flames from the starter shorting out. It was quickly distinguished though
Haha that's awesome! Hope you had your PT belt on :D
