Thanks for the motivation. I missed your post from December. Your pictures, comments and help over PM's have been very helpful. Since I don't yet have a welder or brake I'm limited in my mounting methods and techniques. More than anything, I want to do it right so it's virtually maintenance free in the future. I really wish I had the right tools, a brake, welder, metal saw, drill press, etc.

Hey guys if you're doing this project go to bass pro right now they've got a heavy duty 7 gallon water jug on sale for 18 bucks. The cap is even threaded with a female 3/4" NPT this is exactly what I needed ! Now I'll stop stealing my Dads sparklets jugs and when I sit this on the tailgate with the hose connected to the lid, it'll purge the air out and keep the pump primed for me.

I'm turning my attention back to completing this project. Summer camping trips are firming up and I'll be needing to provide hot water. :D

Curious to see how your system works out Crom.

I'm coming up with plans to make something similar to your Solar Road Shower but out of PVC Pipe. Most of my camping this summer will be in fair weather in July and August so the suns heat should be more than enough for hot enough water to shower under.

However, I will be building my sleeping platform in my bed once I get a canopy around dimensions to add a 15-20G water tank with pump and then eventually figuring out a way to heat it whether it be using the truck or something externally.

Do it. It's surprisingly easy and you'll use it more than you'll expect because it's so easy.

How many of us have actually gotten this done anyways? Did anyone else here do it?

I finally got help with mounting the heat exchanger. I need to build a template out of cardboard and then cut and burn some plate. Maybe by months end.

    Not enough...
    Bumping the thread.

Picked up a Rinse Kit couple of weeks ago. Have been using it every day to rinse off my dog after the beach. Works like a charm! No pumps, batteries or anything else. There is a membrane inside that the pressure from your water hose pushes down, thus retaining the pressure in the tank. Enough water and pressure to completely rinse off two dogs and a couple of human feet. Lightweight, portable and locally made. I'm pretty impressed
