Alright.... I need some advice/help/maybe borrow a tool. I'm trying to replace the brake pads and rotors on my girlfriend's Hyundai Tucson, but there are two alignment screws on each rotor, and for the fucking life of me I cannot get them off. I tried first just a normal phillips head and quickly learned that they are made of the crappiest alloy on earth. Then did some research and tried breaking the grip with a flat head and hammer, still no luck.

Any advice? this is ticking me off, I've spent over two and half hours trying just to get two rotors off with zero luck.

This is what you need. also some aerokroil to spray on the screw.

Lots of times though you just end up havign to grind the head of the screw off and replace the rotor and never use those screws again as they are only used to hold the rotor on for easier manufacturing.

and even then your at a 50/50 chance.

Aerokroil or a 50/50 mix of acetone and ATF and drip it on the gap between the bolt head and rotor so it seeps into the threads.

Hey guys. I know I'm going crazy with the dip but I know I can always peel it off. Anyway, my side mirrors had some scratches in them from the previous owner that I couldn't get out so I decided I'd see how it looks. I think it makes the fuel door look better but I still might ditch them both. What do you guys say?

All second gen tacos run the same door handles right? I was talking to the dealer in Santa Barbara today over the phone about getting some replacement black handles instead of my scuffed up ones and he said that I should bring the truck in so they can see which second gen tacoma handles I need. I told him that I thought that they were all the same and he said that they change every year and sometimes multiple times a year. This cannot be true right?

That sounds like total crap. why would they keep changing the door handle? besides, he should be able to forward you to the parts department and they should be able to look it up in a minute. He just wants you on site to sell you stuff.

.. Im going to feel like an idiot though if all the handles are different

Anyone have a recommendation for a good orthopedic vet in the SB or Ventura area?
Reasonably priced would be a plus. Had to take my 8mo old pup to CARE emergency last night cause he was yelping out in pain and his limp has gotten VERY bad. All they did was do exactly what I had already done, which was feel him up and establish that it was the shoulder and hip, then write me a script for some antiinflammatorys and pain meds (200$ later).

    yup that can be done!

unfortunately no. Assuming you want the key in to run the radio? I THINK you can make it to where it doesnt chime by having the truck shut off, DOOR OPEN, then turn the key to acc, it should chime like 3 or 4 times then stop.

In my case i just put a switch on the 12v trigger wire to the radio that i can switch between a constant 12v to turn the radio on whenever, or back to ignition power.

And lastly you could always open up the column and disconnect the plug that detects when the key is in the ignition... problem with this is, you can lock the door with the key in the igniton after you step out of the truck.

It was the parts department I was talking to! Totally insane. I looked it up and they are all the same. I bought some on Amazon instead.

I like them too, although mine are black already so I'm used to it.

I go to and trust Noah's Arc in Goleta, but by no means are they cheap! I don't think a good cheap vet even exists :notsure:

That's pretty much how I've felt every time I've taken a pet in. I'm pretty sure I'm just paying for piece of mind.

Is it quick and easy? Easier than buying a spare seat buckle. haha?

Mine is already done, but getting this will solve your problem: Kurgo dog Harness - You have to buckle the seat belt to make it work and now your pet is protected. I use this as much as I can. It has eliminated Frankie the Adventure Dog falling into the footwell if I have to brake hard for morons. It also gives me peace of mind when driving with the window down that he can't jump out at something. Or when parked with the windows open while pumping gas or whatever else for a short time...
