I used plasti dip on my last dodge. Make sure you wrap the dip around the edges or you can start pealing. For my tacoma I just used the spray on bed liner.

skip the derp and do it the right way, use bed liner. you don't have to worry about it peeling after a while. that's what i did. then i got wax on it and couldn't get it off, so i added a coat of black enamel and it looks fine.

So does all this craving for ditching chrome and dipping bumpers and grills mean that the black stuff on my poor little base is cool? :D

So I am reviving this thread because I have a question. :)
How does the plasti-dip hold up in the car wash? Like the high pressure sprayer..
I want to do my chrome grill and rear bumper but want to make sure it isn't going to come off every time I wash my truck after a good outing in the muck.

I did my bumper about two years ago. I use the pressure sprayer at the car wash all the time and I've never had anything peel/come off.

Phillips head screwdriver, remove screw, pop out the light housing, I stuffed mine back through the hole and put newspaper in the hole. Tip, WD-40 removes overspray really good, i got some on tailgate outside of tape, no issue coming off.
