I installed a 2013 non entune touchscreen radio into my 2012 model radio. I had 3 connectors from the factory harness that would not fit... I believe they are the Bluetooth microhone for hands free phone and the steering wheel remotes. Also the antenna connector is different... Anyone make this switch before? Is there any way to make the above issues work. Any help is appreciated

You will need the 28pin to 20 pin adapter and the blue plug is the Xm antenna

i found part numbers 546-00120 and 546-74120 on another thread for doing the same radio swap. are those part numbers something i can pick up at the local toyota dealership or something i'd have to order online. right now I'm able to bluetooth spotify so I'm managing, but missing the bluetooth phone which isn't working when i try, it says no mic

Update. I ordered the 28 pin to 20 pin harness adapter and the antenna adapter. So everything's taken care of other than the blue Xm plug... Wondering what others did to regain Xm radio

I'm following this as well because I'm going to attempt the same next weekend.
Steven, did you have bluetooth in your original system?
My truck is not equipped with it and I'm curious as to what I'll have to do to gain those capabilities. I see all kinds of aftermarket add-ons and just wondering how much if any is needed.
Good luck in your efforts and I'll be following. Damn that sounds creepy.........

Finished with the install. I ordered the 20 pin to 28 adapter from dealership for roughly 34 dollars. Then the metra 40lx-21 antenna adapter from local shop for 20 dollars. Right now I have an/fm radio, cd, and Bluetooth audio. Steering wheel controls work fine and usb charge phone. I lost Xm radio and auxiliary jack input. In order to get Xm radio, you'll need to pick up an SL3 tuner and sxv200 from vais technology. Think it runs in the low 300 dollar range for both parts. My subscription was about to run out so not too worried bout losing Xm. The address book and hands free phone is way better than my stock head unit was so its a good trade off. Overall happy with the swap

LED interior lights. Steering wheel mod. New radio. Amp, speakers and sub woofer.
You can get the XM module from FLTrucks for something like $85. It will screw onto the brackets below the radio.

Right now I just have the base head unit, 6 speakers, no Bluetooth, no steering wheel controls,it does have the XM radio.
My end game here is the Bluetooth capabilities, which I don't have now. I have the 2013 touchscreen head and I guess it would be nice but will I have to buy a Bluetooth module for it or is it built into the head itself?
There are all kinds of after market modules I can plug into the existing head unit and I'd be fine with that.
I don't mind investing a little time and money into a project. I have the tools to do most anything needed. All I need is to gather a cut list of items needed because if I need something that I don't have on hand a simple trip to the hardware store or Toyota dealer for most is a day long journey for me.
Appreciate the heads up on FLTrucks. XM would be nice to have at re-sale, but not needed for my purposes. Looking OEM at re-sale also helps, I think.
I do appreciate the replies and advice.

Trying to put a 2015 touchscreen into a 2012. I have the blue connection as well for the Xm. is there no plug adapter? do we really need a separate module for the XM? Though it was built into the radio (or can we hijack it from the 2012 radio?)
