Preventing door seals and ARE cap seals from freezing.

    I moded 1999 Taco so much it had turned to Land Cruiser
    For those living in the snow country. I figure I post something I tried for a winter and had worked for me very good.
    I used plumbers grease on all my seals. I even re-applied when it was already near 0F two weeks ago.
    This is working for me much better than all the remedy's a i had tried before.
    I tried teflon, vaseline etc. but so far this had prevented my ARE cap gate from freezing to seals.

    8.5 Fisher XV2, some switches, some lights.
    Same here. Spray it on a rag, wipe it on the seals, done. Plus, it doesn't get all over your clothes if you happen to brush up against one of the seals while getting in & out of the truck, nor does it attract dirt/sand/grit like that silicone plumber's grease can.
