It was a bright and sunny October day near Salt Lake City that the Cloud's head gasket departed the physical world. I towed her home with a rented U-Haul, in hopes of a grand resurrection only fitting of such a fine vehicle that had unabatedly blazed head-strong through desert badlands and over narrow mountain passes. The prognosis worsened when it was discovered to have a cracked cylinder head, but I persevered, intent on buying a new one. But lately, reality has sunk in, and I just don't have the time.

    So, I'm selling:

    1997 Toyota Tacoma
    2.7 4 Cyl E3R-N73
    4x4, Manual
    265,786 miles
    recent newness: A/C, starter
    BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A KO 30x9.50R15 (2 years old)
No power steering (pump is out)
2 ripped seats (seat covers are doing their job though)
    Pioneer USB/CD stereo
No rust, but body is definitely showing its adventure scars
    Camper not included

    Located in Austin, TX 78736

I have no idea what the value is, so I am arbitrarily starting near what the guy helping me load the truck onto the trailer in a motel parking lot offered for it. Looking back, I probably should have just taken the cash and bought a plane ticket home. The price will drop as my eagerness to reclaim shop space increases.

    $850

The dismantled parts are labeled and organized across my long workshop table, so I can bag the individual components to assist in reassembly.

Act now and I'll throw in $20 worth of scrap aluminum (the old head) and a full tank of gas.
