Looking for about a ~1.5 inch lift on my 2014 Access Cab 4x4. I have a shell on the back so to me it looks pretty level already. Going to be going with the 5100s on all 4 corners, a 1.5 AAL in the rear, and I'm currently debating between the Eibach coils for the front or OME 885s. On the Eibachs I would set the 5100s at 1.75 and the 1.5 AAL in back should work out pretty well. Otherwise would probably run the 885 with the 5100s at 0 and the same 1.5 AAL. Also planning on a 1/4 in spacer for the lean and not running a diff drop. Is there any consensus on which has a better ride for the 885s or Eibachs?Opinions would be very welcome.

Well if your only wanting 1.5 inches then the eibach springs would best suit your needs because they are 1.6 " lift springs. Now the eibach springs also come in a 3 inch, so make sure you get the correct ones. The 885s are going to give you 2.5 or greater considering you are an access can.

Even with the 5100's at 0 the 885's will still give that much lift? Interesting. Looks like it's the Eibach's then.

And you don't wanna set 5100s at 1.75 and also add eibachs. That will give u over 3" lift up front. Some guys set at .85 but not 1.75

Oh yea I meant that as in set them with the chosen coil to get a total 1.75 lift up front. Wrote that poorly haha

comes with the 1/4" spacer and $90 for strut assembly is not bad

I would go with 884s unless your looking at a heavy bumper in the future and also suggest new rear leafs over the AAL if you have a 2/1 leaf pack but if you have a 3/1 then the AAL should be fine

gonna be doing this with new general spring HD 3/1 leaf pack

Keep OME with OME and Eibach with 5100s. Use what is designed and made to work together. If you plan on running a bumper and winch up front, go full OME (shocks and coils). Just my .02.

I am not saying you can't use OME coils with 5100s. Just saying that, in my opinion, I wouldn't use that combo. Certainly not 866 coils with 5100 (if planning to use a bumper and winch combo).

The 1.6" Eibachs have a 620 spring rate and will yeild more than 1.6" of lift. They are a little shorter than the 885s, but not by much and the 885 yeild about 2.5".

Oh and there are 2 Toytec/Eibach coils, the shorter one with the higher spring rate and the longer one with the lower spring rate. The longer one has a spring rate of 600 or 610, can't remember, and it supposed to provide about 2.5".

Eibachs are just lift coils and were not designed for Bilstien 5100; Toytec just paired them with em. They also have a higher spring rate so if going off just this alone the OME coils pair better because the spring rate is closer to the rate of the factory coils.

The coils intent is to support the weight of the truck; the shocks dampening characteristics more influence the quality of ride. Bottom line is providing the coil is designed to mirror the factory coils with the tapered bottom design and the ring count is consistent to prevent against coil bind, mix and match to your heart’s desire and forget about the whole matching brands thing.

I have the 5100 with 885 coil and 1.5 AAL rear, I sit about stock rake but 2" taller. It is a bit more harsh of a ride. If you have a cap the it will probably look level. I'm happy with the look of mine. Fits 265/75/16 tires on stock rims with no issues at all.

I would just call and get specifics from Toytec, the longer coil has a lower spring rate and not the same rate as the other, at least this is what I've been told. Sometimes the websites are off a bit.

Eibach “2.5” lift coils 620 lbs spring rate 391 mm in length
OME 883 coils 590 lbs spring rate 375 mm in length
OME 884 coils 590 lbs spring rate 390 mm in length
OME 885 Coils 590 lbs sprign rate 395 mm in length
OME 886 coils 660 lb spring rate 402 mm in length
OME 887 coils 590 spring rate 400 mm in length

i would guess the 1.6" eibachs are closer to the length of the OME 883s but they are still 620lbs .

I personally like the OME cause of the softer spring rate for a smoother ride.

Did Toytec tell you their 2.5" Eibach coils have a 620 spring rate?

Here's mine before and after installing 5100s and 885x coils. Haven't done the back yet, but measurements on the front tell me I got almost exactly 2.5" lift on the front. I think I measured 2 3/8" on one side.

I'm about to lift my truck and am going the 5100 route. Looking to get about 2.5 inches in the front without spacers. I have a '14 trd sport dc v6. Any opinions on what will ride closest to what I have now? 885's or the 2.5 Eibach?

I'm thinking the 885 since it has a lower spring rate?

Awesome info here, and great find on the Headstrong Offroad kit. $90 for strut assembly seems like a pretty good deal as well. I'll definitely be getting this done in the near future.

Burghlar - Any good shop recommendations? Noticed you're from the Pittsburgh area - moved out here recently.

5100's and 883 OME Coils TRD Exhaust Deaver 1.5" AAL Rear Differential Breather Extension, 4WD Light, Tailgate Pipe clamp, Fog lights on while High Beams on, Carrier Bearing flip
OME 883's with 5100's give about an 1" - 1.5" lift with an otherwise stock front end.

I have 5100s at 0 and the 1.6in eibachs on a 4cy AC. They are not stiff at all and give the 1.5in lift you're after. They may be 620lb springs, but with the 5100s set at 0 they still have plenty of give to them. I think they'd be too short to use a heavy bumper with though.
