The gray switch panel under the climate control area. How do I get that off so I can do some switch work? Pics would be great if you got em. Thanks

Yeah that panel is fun to remove. Gotta take out center console, glovebox, speedo part of dash, radio. It's worth it to take out for installing rather than trying to do it on the truck though. I took mine out and dremel the outside for the switches then the wiring was a breeze to run after that panel was out.

I did not have to remove mine. I just pried the blanks out and fished wires from back side. I also moved atrac switch. I drilled out blanks and mounted some round switches in them.

All I want to do is push in the AUX/USB tab and and replace it with a blank. Then run the wire from my ipod to the glove box so I don't have to see it. But that looks like quite a bit a work to make a wire disappear.

Why not just run a new switched wire in behind the glove box that terminates in an UBS receptacle? Very easy to do. OBW thanks for the rant about my bumper for sale. I just respond differently to others with issues . Just say'n

If all you need to do is pop the usb out, just pop the hvac panel off and reach your fingers back and push the usb put, I do it all the time to install seat heater switches in the blanks, wiring isn't hard to run with the dash fully assembled.

if your lucky... have small hands, and know exactly what your grabbing for. you MIGHT be able to remove the radio trim, and HVAC (just pull them out), and reach in from above and behind but its ridiculously tight, sealed off, and blocked off... otherwise... your up doing this...

its not that bad, there are two bolts i believe under the carpet in the bottom of the center console. once those are out, unscrew your shift (pro shifter? :)), then just yank on the trim piece below the shifter and the rest of the center console should come right out after that. (with the bolts out)

its not bad, once its all snapped back together, i had no extra creaks, sounds or hassles. it will go back together tight.

Yea it's a PITA to get to, but if you go for it, it would be wise to wire all of the switches, even if you don't have anything to use the switch for yet. Feed a wire out of there so that when you do add something, you don't have to take it all apart again.

Oooooooooooooooooh I don't know I would have to take my " Pro " shifter off? This could be a problem, what if I drop it or something?

make sure you wear (specs call for white or black only) leather gloves when you remove PRO shifter off before proceeding.
