    Or you can do this.

I did this and it was pretty easy to do, didn't fear for my life at anytime. Haha

Yeah I bought Monroe's from rock auto- they were pretty nice for the price. They had 2 models one had a new rubber spring isolator and the other was just the metal plate.

Hey everyone i have finally gotten my first taco and just got my complete ome lift with 882's and i was wondering how you guys installed the front shock/coil assembly on the truck. Did you have to disconnect the LBJ from the knuckle or was it drooped enough to get it in there. Just want to get my final questions answered. Thank You! :D

You shouldn't have to disconnect the LBJ unless you are assembling the shock like in the video above.

Post some pics when you get it all installed!

Full ome lift, nitro charger sports all 4 corners (rear shocks relocated), Dakar pack w/ AAL, 882 coils, diff drop, toytec 1" shackles, trail gear low profile front bumper, Tuff Stuff winch, bamf sliders, RAT skids, BAMF Bed Rack, Tepui Kukenam RTT, RAT rear bumper,
Since I'm whoring this everywhere else... I'll extend here too... Relocated the shocks, kept the OME nitrocharger units. Definitely added some droop.

I was going to warn people about this. I bought some non-OEM top plates and my coil assembly wouldn't fit into the mounts. It was a pain in the ass. I had a shop assemble the coils but when i went to put them in myself they were too big. I had to grind them down around the edges in order for it to fit into the mounts. The brand was gabriel so i'd recommend staying away from those!

The OD of the top plate was too big? Did the bolts line up correctly?

I plan on installing it when the weather gets warmer cuz its been real old in CO lately. Isn't supposed to come with the trim packer from wheelers? Maybe they have put it on with the in house coil assembly i bought? I will go check!

EDIT:I actually opened the passenger side shock assembly and i opened the driver side just now and yes it has the trim packer on the seat of the shock under the coil

Got the front end put in this past weekend. We pulled the stock struts and UCAs and put in the new OME 883s and LR UCAs. The drivers side was an absolute pain and took us forever. We had to cut one of the top bolts on the strut because it was freely spinning in the junk rubber spacer that was installed before I purchased the pickup. To add to the mess, when we went to press out the ball joint and the ball actually pushed through the bottom of the housing, leaving the housing stuck in the knuckle.
The truck sits fairly level right now because the rear had a block lift installed by the previous owner as well, but I'm hoping to get the dakars and nitrochargers put in this coming weekend and enjoy a comfortable new ride.

I can't wait to go back to Dakars, I currently am running modified All-Pro APEX springs. Not at all impressed, I have had to removed several leaves to get the rear end down and soften the ride and now I have a good amount of axle wrap. I don't carry the weight these things need to be used properly and I don't think a 1st Gen really should in the first place. My old extra cab was on Dakars and the extra leaf for the Moab trip and they worked great, not the most flexible thing in town (mostly because of my stock shackles) but axle wrap wasn't there and they supported the load I was carrying well while not rattling my fillings out.

    One day.

Anyone have taco lean with the dakars? My truck is leaning with about 3/4 tank of gas. I have the aal in my dakars as well. I know they are side specific and I have leaf pack a on drivers side, and b on pass side. Thought this was to eliminate taco lean?

Just got them put in last night. When we let the truck down from the jacks it looked like there was a little drivers side lean (also 3/4 tank). I did the same as you, (A) on drivers, (B) on passenger. I didn't put the aal in yet though. I haven't check it today, but the lean wasn't noticeable at all unless you specifically looked for it.

I'm kinda bummed. I was under the impression that I wouldn't have taco lean since they are side specific and I heard it was to eliminate the lean.
