Well, I think I'd go back to the dealer and get them to put in writing any issues with the harness will be covered by Toyota. If they re neg I'd call Corp while they were standing there....

My 2005 Access Cab SR5 TRD Off Road has been with Team Toyota since late November. Called today for status. Waiting on one part to get in line for the work to start. 165K on the clock. Getting any wear items that aren't being replaced as part of this taken care of as well. Free labor, so may as well! Looking forward to not driving these brand new full size rentals from Enterprise anymore! I want my truck back! Mopar/Ram takes the prize so far out of a 1500 Silverado, F-250 and Ram 1500 in my opinion. Wouldn't own that Silverado. F-250 was awesome, but, to f'ing big for my needs.

Anyone have their replacement frame painted? TRD red would be cool and then murder out the rest of the truck! I asked for a frame paint quote... Will see...

Bandit, bring it to VA and have the guys here do it. Not optimal, but they are gun ho about getting them done locally here.

I assume you spoke to Corporate also? This is a horrible outcome. I need to call my dealership in the AM and see where the standing is on mine. I was told they were going to send my service ticket in the mail to me so I had a record. None has shown up yet and it has been a couple weeks already.

This just in! I was looking at the Toyota Owners site this past Sunday when I noticed this little gem (posted below) had popped up for my truck. I have been getting the middle finger from corporate for the last year on getting my frame replaced. Finally getting some love it would appear! Truck goes in (for the third time) on Friday.

Team Toyota had my truck since 29 Nov and I just got it back this past Friday, 10 Apr. 5100s added. I've been asked "when'd you buy a new truck" 3 times already. Better than new after a long wait... That campaign includes the southern states that were initially excluded from it... North east and mid Atlantic/mid west with their winter time salt use went 1st.

you can make an account on the toyota website and put your truck in with its vin number and it will tell you recalls and stuff. Mine just came up with the frame campaign for tacoma registered in 32 states.

I'm surprised they didn't tell you that the LSC would be expanded eventually. Take it to them to perform the inspection and insist you have a rental comparable to your truck... I believe the procedure is to quarantine defective frames until the new frame comes in. There were 28 Tacomas ahead of mine when they inspected out on 29 Nov 14.

You'll be pleased with the new frame, my truck is brand new!
