Crank it giving it gas runs fine let off the gas and wants to die. Spray carb cleaner and will idle fine. Also Evap canister makes humming noise when motor is off? What's my problem?

The idle issue is probably a bad IAC valve.

The noise from the evap canister is normal.

I agree, Idle Control Valve will cause the engine to lean out or run rich as the computer makes an attempt to balance whats going on with the air/fuel mixture. It wouldn't be uncommon to have a backfire happen during this process.

Although, this is not the absolute answer, it is a start to figuring out your problem.

Can I just unplug it to test it or do I replace it?

If I'm looking at the right thing I took the hose off and it crunk up fine with a real high idle. Put the hose back on while running and it sucked the thing the idle nut and bolt sits against in. ? I'm thinking it may not be getting the right amount of fuel?

You disconnected the throttle opener, not the IACV.

The IACV (Idle Air Control Valve) is screwed onto the bottom of the throttle body. You have to remove the throttle body to get to it. Aside from the screws, it will also have two small coolant lines going to it (one on the back, one on the driver's side) and one electrical plug on the back.

Your truck will not start with it disconnected.

It's a little valve that opens and shuts to allow air to flow around the throttle plate to compensate for temperature differences. It sounds like it's not opening far enough to allow the truck to idle. That's why you are having to hold the throttle plate open (foot on gas pedal) to keep the truck from stalling.

Yep Id say either your IAC or maybe you have a loose vacuum line somewhere or maybe one has a crack in it.. You can test the charcoal canister if you want. You need a little hand vacuum pump to test it though.

    Here you go:

I've read basically when you top off your gas tank you automatically mess up your vape canister. Mine failed the last test on this chart and has probably been messed up for a while with no CEL/not much noticeable problems..
