It's quick, but it combines some twisties with highway. I like to ride (in Anchorage) Hillside drive to Rabbit Creek road to the highway or turn around and do it in reverse.

I've gone out to Wasilla once, but haven't been out to Palmer yet.

Getting 30 mpg on the highway

I got mine off craigs list. It is a 2009 and I bought it for $4900 in May 2011 (my college graduation present to myself :D)

If you are looking for a naked bike, (which you totally should be :D) Ducatti makes some sweet ones. The other big sport bike manufactures do too. They are a lot more popular in Europe than over here. I have seen a few pop up on craig's though

Kawasaki: Er-6n. (what I have now. AWESOME bike. Gets 40+ mpg... and I ride it pretty hard) or the Z1000:drool: (if i didnt care about getting horrible MPG this would be my next bike.... such a good looking bike and they sound awesome!)

    Yamaha: FZ 6n

    Honda: CBF 650n

    sazuki: SV 650

The n after the number designates it as "naked". For serious :)

I haven't run hillside yet, strangely. I hear it's a pretty rough rode in the summer. I like running it at night in the truck after s snow though. Fun, easy road to drift.
