I wish. i'd love to go later next week. Don't want to miss the runs though.

 

I was hoping to get out for some dipnetting too. We have a bunch of people who said they'd take our extra fish so I got the okay to take as many as we can this year.

 

I'm going to try to go this weekend, 26,000 at the Kasilof two days ago, and 18,000 at Kenai.

If my knee isn't up to it, it'll turn into a camping trip.

We made it down to Seward yesterday and did one of the touristy boat tours and lunch on Fox Island. It was nice, finally had some Salmon and King Crab legs

Any of you guys know a good place to get good smoked salmon (packaged so I can bring it home) and jerky (would like to find Moose jerky)?

As for salmon jerky, I usually find some on the way out to Kenai but the guy is not always out there so the drive wouldn't necessarily be worth it just for the jerky.

 

Try Alaska Sausage & Seafood, I usually process my own game, but from the commercial stuff I've had, they have never failed to deliver a great product.

Has anyone driven out of AK in Nov-Dec Timeframe with a 6000Klb trailer? Im leaving in No and I plan on towing my trailer. Its a 8x13" double axel trailer. I've driven the ALCAN couple of times, once in the summer and once at the beginning of Nov. Any tips of advice from anyone? Thanks guys
