Good luck with them. Let me know if ya want some help! I will probably need to do lower ball joints son here.... 100k and my steering is a little sloppy and i can see the boots leaking on the lowers.... Thanks for posting that link. Is subbed for later!

I have the same reservation about bear spray. I think in the right conditions, it might be a better option. However, I usually carry both since a gun will work in any condition. I carry a .44 mag myself. I have the ruger alaskan super red hawk. It is a snub nose and quite compact. Heavy enough to absorb some of the recoil so it is not awful to shoot. With a 240-300 grain bullet, I actually prefer shooting it over some of the .357s mags I have shot. I have some 340 grain hot rounds for bears though. Those can be a little interesting to shoot if you are not prepared.

I chatted with a customer at work today that is working on a solid axle swap on a white first gen double cab with his son. He picked up a trd supercharger down south and they're installing that as well. I told him to check out TW, so he may pop up here. Thought it was neat, and I love when someone asks about my truck haha.

So I've heard the biggest size tires you can fit totally stock are 265/70/17 but with a .85 lift and 17x9 rims, you think I could get some 285s in there?

no way you can stuff 285s without a 2.5" lift minimum and trimming your splash guards

Depends on how much you wanna cut ;) You can fit 37's on 2" of lift if you want but it'll take lots of cutting haha If you want to fit 33's I'm sure you could, just have a sawzall and BFH handy.
