been looking at the ferry schedules a bit.

Looks like the ferry leaves from homer pretty regularly on Tuesdays and Sundays. also, some thursday. Thinking about trying to catch one on a Thursday.

The ferry leaves Kodiak on all days EXCEPT for Tues/thurs. It seems to vary a fair bit.

With that schedule, I am thinking of trying to catch a thursday ride down and a Monday ride back. that would hopeful minimize the time needed off of work and give us 3 days to wheel and such.

Oh, and vote for your dates!!!!

Might be on the Island sans truck for late August...!

Just throwing it out there, the vehicle space on the ferry typically books about 1 to 2 months in advance.

I'm interested but not sure how my schedule will be for summer. What's the tally on the date I will just go with majority and ask for those days off.

Sweet. I think a lot of us will be pretty busy this summer. Hopefully if we plan enough in advance most people can get the time off :)

Hey guys, looks like end of july works for most people so here is what I have come up with ferry-wise. Trying to minimize the amount of time off needed... kind of hard with the limited ferry schedule :) Mostly, it comes down to what Coby is able to do since he will be our awesome host :D anyway, discuss or PM/publicly flame me with your rage over my shitty choice of dates ;) just kidding, I know you all are nice.

Also, updated the OP with this so you don't have to look through the thread.

    Sailing in August:

Depart: HOMER Wednesday, August 14 12:30 AM
Arrive: KODIAK Wednesday, August 14 2:00 PM
    Vessel: M/V Tustumena
    Duration: 13hr, 30min
    Subtotal: $229.00 [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Depart: KODIAK Saturday, August 17 11:15 PM
Arrive: HOMER Sunday, August 18 9:00 AM
    Vessel: M/V Tustumena

Total price is looking like $358 for one driver+1 tacoma in July. Additional passengers are approximately $150. THESE ARE PRICES FOR THE ROUND TRIP :D

Heyy guys? any opinions on these dates or would August be better?

We should probably book tickets soon if we want to do this!

Let me know if there just isn't interest/the time off just isnt feasible at this time!

Still trying to swing time off. Manning sucks still so it'll be a bit of a miracle if I'm able to get The time off then. But deff still interested in going.

So were suppose to be getting a new guy on flight bringing us back up to being allowed two ppl on leave at a time so either would work but august would probally work better just with how the days fall as far as requesting time off. The sooner I know the better cuz our new guy hasnt gotten here yet and not everyone knows about him coming. Only me cuz Im his sponser :p so I can put in for leave now and be the first on leave but once everyone figures it out there gonna start putting in for more leave to be the first and second ppl on leave haha.
