Does anyone know of a good fabrication shop in Anchorage? Looking to get a bed rack built that can support a RTT.

Also, looking for a bedslider either already built or fabricated. Then get custom tool boxes mounted to it that will fit my different equipment. With also a spot for a fridge and maybe a swingout camp stove.

They just bent the bars for me and a friend and I coped and welded them, dan and tom and chris are all awesome guys to work with. Just do yourself a favor and work with one of them from start to finish, cause they'll all quote you different prices lol. Tom is the business side of things. What are you looking to get done?

    So 2 things:

First: A bed rack that will mount over my soft topper that can support a RTT and 2 people with some gear.

Second: I was looking at the bed slides and the slide master websites but neither really has what Im looking for. Similar idea but with a more form fitting design.

On the slide I would like to build several low profile boxes with locks on each one (security with the soft top) that open up towards the sky. Thought was to store offroad gear plus storage for camping. Then at the year reserve a spot for a swing out camp stove off of it with a portable refrig mounted on one side.

Also to keep it easily removable have 4 spring loaded legs that as you pull out the slide they come down. Then the slide is completely supported by the legs which would allow you to drive out from underneath it and then back into when your ready to install again.

As far as an over thw topper rack, our bedsides aren't designed to be load bearing, you're better off trying to find a way to run the weight down through the bed frame. I've seen the bedsides buckle before. With my tent i've got about 650-700 pounds easily up top when we're all inside.

Hmmm drawers. I've seen a few drawers on expeditionportal not really the style I'm looking for if its what I'm thinking it is.

Interesting. I'll have to look into this. A lot of the bedracks I've seen have all been supported by the bedsides other than yours and one other.

I wonder if just for when we climb on top we could have some support arms that come down to be supported in the bed as well.

Once I get my soft top on Ill have to check it out to see whats feasible.
