Well, as of 2 hours ago I became a Tacoma owner, my first new vehicle I have ever owned. I am jubilant, ecstatic, excited, frightened, scared, and nervous all at the same time. With that said, i appreciate all of you that contribute on this site as it was a great resource when shopping for my new Tacoma. I will have to learn all of the lingo, but it is a Access cab TRD off road. Anyway, just wanted to say thanks and look forward to joining the Alaskan Tacoma fraternity.

Just picked up my AC TRD Sport Monday after ordering it back on November 7. I also ordered the Husky liners, but have been on the fence about the Clazzio's. I'd love to get a review or check them out when you have them installed. I think if I went leather covers, then seat heaters would be required as well.

Is your AC sport red? I saw one sitting in the kendall lot the other day when i stopped by the dealer. I've got a heated seat kit on order as well to go with the clazzios. Already dreading trying to wire them up, me and electricity don't always get along. But yea, I'd be happy to show ya the clazzios when they show up.

Yeah, that's the one. It came in last week while I was still on the slope. Went straight from the airport to the dealership on Monday to pick it up. Nothing like driving off the lot with only 3 miles on the odo.

The heated seats shouldn't be too difficult to wire up, plenty of good write-ups on this site to follow.

Right on man. Thats a sharp looking truck you've got. I was glad to see someone else went with the access cab. I lucked out in that when I decided to buy a new truck, they had the one I wanted in Fairbanks so I only had to wait a few days before I was driving my first ever new vehicle off the lot. What an awesome feeling and so far love the truck, it rides great.

Ah cool. Been trying to learn how to hunt. Went with a friend of mine last year hunting caribou and got lucky the last day. After 3 days of seeing nothing stumbled upon 4 of them and we both gut to fill our tag.

Sweet, gotta love it when ya can fill two tags at the same time. I love caribou hunting and the caribou eating that follows. Here's one i got a few years back. It was a once in a lifetime type of day, caribou like this are pretty rare.

Thanks man, i am sure i will have a lot of questions down the line. Probably some stupid questions too, so go easy on me, lol.

I'd say thats def a lucky dog. Stealing moose meat is punishable by death, although i can't blame him, moose meat is the food of the gods. I know my little beagle loves every scrap i slip his way.

I'm about to get an auto-start installed next week, and noticed I only got 2 keys from the dealership. Was this the same when you bought your 2015? Since one will be used for the install, I'll have to have a second one made for a spare.

Wait for group buys when buying anything truck related. If you want it its guaranteed 40 other people here want it and someone is bound to set up a group buy with the vendor/manufacturer and everyone gets a sizable discount.

And welcome from a former Alaskan

I'm not following your logic... You give them one key, you have a key. Why do you need a third key( second spare)?

One key goes with the auto-start under the hood (for the immobilizer), then I'm left with one key to use for the vehicle. If I lose that one key I can't drive the vehicle.
