    Hey JonathanN,
We are in the R&D stages of figuring out a canvas cover option but at this point fitting one over a softopper will require modification on your end. If you ordered a weld-together kit you could (or have a weld shop) modify it to the needed specs. If you do we want to to see a "how-to" thread :D

I think a GB from you guys on these racks would go nicely with the CVT Tent group buy going on... :anonymous: Just sayin'

I would love to get a gear rack. I already have a "bolt-together" Pack-Rack. Please PM a quote.

I'm so happy to hear this! I was trying to figure up a design for one and imagining how many hours I'd spend trying to sew it all by hand.:puke:
Question I have is how will they be designed for guys like me who chopped a few inches off the legs? Me and a couple buddy's welded mine up last weekend and I mounted my new Rtt on it last night- wheeling and camping this weekend! So stoked!!!:D

I experimented a little with just a canvas sun top. Works well and i throw it on every once in a while.

The custom size will be a big issue I think. From all the shops we talked to they gave us the option to make 2 "standard" sizes. 1 cab height and 1 a few inches lower. The issue is by welding the kit together yourself their are margins of error which could cause fitment issues - which is why we are still in the R&D phase. Everyone measures different lol

You might want to run over to a local custom canvas/upholstery shop and see what kind of options they can come up with to fit your needs.

Keep us posted on your trip this weekend!!

I just threw a 6'x8' waxed canvas tarp over my bed rack and used the brass grommets to tie the tarp to itself with 550 paracord. The tension is what keeps it in place. It is great for camping and creating shade for the pup.

This is where i got my inspiration.

Thought about getting something more permanent made but i use my yakima cargo box a lot so i end up just taking it on and off when i need it.
