I haven't ridden one but its a Honda so just go get one. I have a 7 year old Honda rancher and I've put it through hell and back many times and it still runs like new.

Its a Honda and it should run good. I honestly am looking into the pioneer 700 since I want something that rides smoother off road than a foreman.

I need something for my new farm to haul crap around.

Plus the engine/trans are not new. They are proven in the big red and rincon.

Plus I like how the 4 seater is not any longer than the 2 seater.

I ended up ordering one so I will report back on how it drives.

That's why I like Honda they just keep everything simple and improve upon it over time.

    this and that...
i went into kiser today and got into the mindset that im gonna get a utv. the pioneer is sick. i would definately get one if honda didnt cap me on what they are willing to lend me (originally asked for a pre approval for a rubicon). im looking at the ranger 570 and the 800 now. leaning more toward the 570 cause of the improvements they made to it.

You must be a belt fan boy?

This is the exact reason I have not considered NOT getting a SxS until now.

The honda does not have a belt drive. It is an automatic transmission that has been proven for years in the Rincons.

Laugh now but I would expect the sxs industry to start a change.

Plus the 4 seater is the same size at all others 2 seaters.

If it has the same powertrain as the big red then it is going to be underpowered. A guy at our hunting camp has a big red and one day we loaded around 400-500lbs of feed in the back and the exact same in the back of our rhino. His big red didn't have enough power to pull through a small creek. He had to back out and hit it with a running start just to make it through. The rhino crawled through it in high gear without thinking about it. I love honda, but when I saw this, I was damn proud that I went with the yamaha instead. Hopefully they changed the gearing or something in pioneers to give it more low end torqure. I was never a fan of the trans in the rincon either but mainly because it doesn't allow any engine braking, which my rhino doesn't either, so that its not that big of a deal.

i am a honda fan as well, but the RZR is not really good for anything other than trail riding. Thats why my parents got a rhino so they could haul stuff around and still ride it in the mountains. mom wanted a kawi mule but i talked her into the rhino because they wanted to take it to the mountains as well and the mule sucks off road.(other than in a field.)

ya we have the 700 FI can hit 40mph with 2 people and probably 50 pounds of stuff in the bed. I have heard from some with that have rode both and say the 450 is under powered, and is probably why yamaha stopped making them with the 450 and only make the 700( witch replaced the 660, in both the rhino and grizzly) really it’s hard to hit 40 on the trails unless it’s just a logging road or something. and trust me i ride the thing hard!!! I push it’s limits at times, and have almost flipped in a few times, but have all ways been able to safe it.

Yea, the bed on the rzr is just big enough to fit a 25qt ice chest and thats it. I love our 700 rhino. I put an aftermarket sheave with different weights and springs. So mine will do in the upper 40's with just me in it. We use ours around the house and to hunt out of. If I had a farm and was constantly hauling alot of weight I would go with the 800 ranger. But I've loaded our rhino down with close to 800lbs in the bed and it never let up. Of course, it was riding on the bump stops lol but the motor wasn't bogging or anything.

I went on a ATV jamboree in June 2013 and coincidentally, the honda R&D guys where there with that pioneer prototype. it looked tall and beefy. The finished product is about the same. I was hoping the finished product would be more CanAm Commander ish shaped. Anyways, looking at the Honda website, i like the pioneer also but would re design the roll cage to be lower. It looks too high and wide. it can be better designed and still offer protection. Plus it'l help lower center of gravity. jus my opinion

I have a honda rancher BUT, IMO honda's reputation is good, we buy honda because of it. Tho Yamaha and other japanese brands offer same reliability with more features, bigger displacement, hi and lo, lockers. The hondas are too basic. wish mine had these features.

Those dont look bad at all. I love my Rhino 700. When it is time to upgradebecause the family grows I am hoping Yamaha will have a 4 seater out that has an actual bed. I dont mind the Rangers, but they are huge.
