dirtbike, you can go into the more narrow trails and i feel i have more control. Plus you dont have to worry about the ATV rolling on you, as long as you ride with pants a dirtbike shouldn't be to big of a problem if you fall down

i'd go with a 250 4-stroke. i trail ride one and have no problems with it. little more maintanence than a 2-stroke but then again don't have to worry about blowin the top end.

go with a honda CRF 250r or honda CRF 450R. I own one of each and they rip on tracks, trails, and single track. They are a very versatile bike with lots of power. I wouldn't buy a trail bike. You will get bored with the power as well as the weight. The race bike has a high performance engine and weigh anywhere from 210 to 230.

In my opinion KTM bikes are built as race bikes, they seem to be high maintenance and not the longest lasting. IMO! don't shoot me it's just my opinion

Go with an atv. Polaris Sportsman 800 or 500 they can both do anything you need and if they can haul a** if you want to. 4wd fuel injected and lots of storage pretty much everything you need
