ATV in a short bed

Hoping someone can help. I have a 07 double cab short bed and im currently prepairing to buy my first atv. Ive searched high and low but cant find a pic or fourm showing an atv in a short bed. I guess my first question is can it be done. I dont see why not of course I know id have to leave my tail gate down but even with it down can anyone show me a pic of an atv in the back of a tacoma short bed?

If your curious about the atv. Im purchasing a yamaha wolverine 450.
Thanks for the help.

You may be interested in this company I found in Alberta Canada. They fabricate ramps that rise up and carry the Quad in the back of a truck. The ramps rise up over the wheel wells, and by raising the front end of the Quad it allows for less length to be used in a smaller pick up truck bed! Great idea. Im sure it would be simple to build something like this at home. Out of would even might work?

No, They squeeze in there pretty snug, but it does fit without sitting on the wheel wells. Does your Brute fit?

Tha's the thing...I have a trailer for my Brute & my sons LT80 but I'm going to try it. I hate loading up the trailer for 1 atv for a 5 minute drive to the sand to play. I'll try it next time I go out

Thanks for the info!!!

I just got a 09 Acces cab, 6ft box, and I have a Honda Rincon 680 that I want to haul in the bed. Do you have any more pics of how your quad fits in yours? Any close ups of the wheels driving over and sitting in the wheel wells? Im nervous about ramming my quad into a brand new truck bed. How does the tail gate handle the weight of the quad on ramps? THNX!

Dont have any close ups of the Box with the quad in it but if you like i`d take some. And about the weight on the tailgate with the ramp my 700 grizz weighs about 600+ and on the rack theres about 200 pounds of meat and ice. I dont sit on the quad while I load it I just back it in while im standing next to it using the throttle. I know how you feel my first time loading my quad in my truck I was pretty nervous

I don't think your ATV will fit on your bed... I have a Polaris Sportsman 500 and a Prerunner TRD shortbed and the rear whells of my ATV didn´t fit on the bed... And I think you take a risk if you try to fit yours, 'cause you can easily crash the rear window of your truck...

I better use a little trailer and it´s much more safe to your truck and your ATV

That's just my opinion... Good Luck...

I didn't really enjoy loading my quad in my 2006 F150. It fit, but it was a bit nervracking. Im not even going to attempt to load my Rincon in the bed of my Tacoma. Im going for the trailer option.
