Anyone rode the new KX 250. I've checked out the reviews on dirtrider and they seem to be all good. I have an RM 125 right now, but I'm in the market for a new 4 stoke. Will there be a big difference going from one to the other?

i rode my buddies 07 kx 250f and i hated it but ive always been a honda or yamaha guy. the new ones may be better but who knows. 4 strokes have a much broader power band than the 2 strokes. 4 strokes you dont have to shift as much.

Are you asking about the KX250 or KX250f? Either way, yes there will be a big difference. I had a YZ125 and rode my buddies CR250 and it was insanley powerful. Then I got a YZ250f and it did everything I could have ever imagined. It was a blast. I was never let down.

I have the 08 kx250f best bike i have ever owned, before that i had a 05 kx250 two stroke, personally on the track my 250f would kill the 250, but for the desert i loved the 250 two stroke. also both bike are a huge difference from a 125.

They dont make a KX 250 only a 250f. 2 strokes are long gone. the 250f took the place of a 125 2 stroke. They race the lites class now.

In my opinion, everyone is going to say the brand they ride is the best. I personally dont think you can go wrong with any brand. I know people that have had all the big brands, except for a KTM, and they all loved them, and had no problems. I had an 05 YZ250f and an 06 KX250f for a brief time, which belonged to my buddy. Both were great bikes. I hated Kawasaki before he got the bike and actually liked his a lot, it was slightly faster than my YZ. But this was also 5 years ago. I dont think you could go wrong with any, just research them as much as you can.

x2 on that. Honestly they're really all the same, maybe one brand has a slightly better suspension or something than the other, but in the end the only way you would be able to tell a big difference is if you ride at the pro level.
