Saw this awhile back, read the article on their trip with it. My question is, why didn't they do this to the hypermoto? Lighter, more nimble for the dirt being that it was designed around the dirt bike theme....just seemed like a waste to me.

hypermoto fail. the lower fairing and exhaust hang too low to play in the dirt. what happens when you try to go over a bump and get stuck on your exhaust? (high center)

Nice thing about this, slap street tires on it and you got a mean street machine. I want something I can take up to my cabin which has a nice long dirt road, but nothing major, and something I can ride around in the streets and still drag knee. A quick suspension adjustment and tires you get the best of both worlds with this.
Plus its just dead sexy.

 

Did you watch the video? He goes over bumps, jumps and has no issues.. It's not a dirt bike. It's a bike that you can have fun in the street and dirt. It's perfect for my needs.

 

I guess my use off road would be for trail riding where that would not work. The price point on that is too high for me to take it off road and possibly drop or tip it. Interesting concept though.

 

I agree its not anywhere what a dirt bike can do. Yes its WAY expensive. Maybe that's what Ducati translates into because everything they make is over priced, but bad-fucking-ass.

 

Work brings lunch in on Wednesday's. Today it was Porkopolis. Awesome food.
