ANY car, truck or motorcycle will be expensive. I had a fox body when I was 17-23 and spent 3x what I have on my Tacoma. So if that is your reasoning, its not very valid.

In other news I need to stop watching videos of the 2015 TX pro taco...

There is absolutely nothing special with that truck... just overpriced with the fake TRD bling that we all know is useless. For the same money you can get a much better fox setup, better rims, and real skids.

Oh hell yea! That would be the best decision by far to wrap or paint. Still though, going to save a bit before I make the next decision on upgrade. If Avid gets the CNC, I will probably do a bumper and skid up front or lock the rear up.

I think I also just scored a free compressor!! I'm hoping it can run off my trucks power supply in the rear. Anyone ever done this? Its a small one with a tank, just for airing tires.

Edit: I should ask what's the maximum output of that rear plug in the Tacoma? I've never used it.

I know it's 400w max (in park, engine on)... but not sure on the amperage. I do know it couldn't run my little shop vac without tripping off so... I highly doubt it will work. My little 3 gallon air compressor kept tripping it also.

Awe.. This makes me sad. Still, I can air up to road pressures when I get home vs going to use a gas stations shitty compressor... And its free!

I have a week in Breckenridge, CO late in August. But that is a luxury time share think. Would like an overnighter on the rim or similar with afternoon shower and 65 degree evening. a relaxing trip with some off-roading.

I have a deep cycle batter that powers an air compressor on my trailer. The battery charges off the plug for trailer lights. It's a half gallon compressor and wouldn't run off the power plug in the back of the truck.

By all means though, give it a shot. There's nothing to say my invertor wasn't wacked from the start lol.

Just my input: Don't confuse modding your Tocoma with having fun with it, you can have lots of good times at stock or a bit beyond. I kinda fell into a modding frenzy with mine and have sunk some cash into it just because I can. It is a bit more off road worthy but sucks fuel with the added weight and poorer than stock aerodynamics.

On the other hand if you want to swap to a fast car do as you please, but mods for it will cost you as well, and if it becomes unstreetable you are going to need another vehicle. You can allways trade back to a 4X4 if your want to.

I have my fun car (a breathed on 2009 GTI) that is my daily driver, so gas mileage on my truck is not so important. My Tacoma is 4WD and I hope it lasts me a good many years, it has 11,000 miles on it now and will be two years old next month.

a 400 watt inverter putting out 120VAC is like 3.3 Amps

Hey colby. Mr stereo. Is it possible to make a new low profile sub box using the stock sub and amp?

    The JBL stock sub/amp?

You could. As long as the airspace is correct and it has room to move it will work.

But if you are going to make a box, I'd just buy a sub/amp or a pre-built one because it will work better than the JBL sub.
