Not every time is a hit... they only begin to affect you after about three hits in a row within some x month period (I think three). Funny story though, I actually yelled at subaru for running my credit without asking when I test drove a wrx.. and the guy was like "yea you have a point" and felt bad haha.

The point of getting pre-qual'd is.... you know what you can actually be legit for.. so you can do your house hunting not just in what you feel you can afford, but know you can actually qualify for. Plus, it will make the process faster to get approved.

*edit when I say "hit" I mean negative impact. It will show on the report...

You should be able to know what you can afford without that, at least thats my personal opinion.

I answered all the questions in the process but at the end of it all I told them to not continue with it. I took all of what the questions pertained to an came up with what they were getting at. With my income now and how I plan to finance and such, 145 up to 170ish is what I can afford.

My dad was telling me to hold of on seriously searching, he said that the likelyhood of the market going even further down by end of year/early next year is very high so pricing should decrease as well.

It's all speculation... but the point is to see what the lenders will be willing to lend you, not what you think you can afford.

Anyway, I agree... I think the market is going to continue to fall like a rock for a long time, let alone everything else. Again, it's all pure speculation.

the lenders are just rediculous right now. I attempted to get a loan through bofa as they were the auction lender. Everything was great, awesome credit, plenty of cash, quadruple the minimum downpayment, but i was self employed. so no bueno.

Buddy bought a house, him and his girl work food/retail, bofa flat out refused, so he found a lender with not even half the requirements of bofa (which hed been through for about 10 years now), got the house, before his first mortgage came in, the lender had sold to bofa. lol!?

Unfortunatly when I am out there I work 6-7 days a week 18 hours a day so I am dead to the world. I get to blow things up for a living, especially while out there so I cant complain about that.

    Hello all,
I'm heading down to Tucson friday night, gunna make a run at Charoleau Gap on saturday morning. If you haven't been on this trail, you haven't 4 wheeled Tucson. Great obstacles, great view, and a high variety of offroad types available. If anyone wants to climb some rocks give me a PM and I can give details on a possible meet.
