2nd gens are bigger and newer thats it. If I could find a first gen with comparable mileage I would've bought it instead. I like the interior better as well.

I liked the looks of my 98 a little better than my 2011, but the interior and space that it has is the topper for me.
    Plus my 98 was a 5speed 4banger, slow.

I hate how my 08 rattles like crazy. And my neighbors 98 is solid as can be.

The guy I sold my stock 1st gen shocks to has a 1st gen with over 200k miles and a 2nd gen with less than 30k miles. The 2nd gen already rattles more than the 1st gen

But honestly if your going to mod it anyway just get whatever you like. My truck is gaining rattles and creaks and one of the doors takes quite a bit of pull on the handle to open it, but thats what happens when you beat the piss out of them

Allpro LT powder coated black with Fox 2.5s. BAMF Sliders w/ kick outs. Allpro Expo leaf pack and Fox 2.0 RR. Brute Force hybrid bumper. BAMF Roofrack. Tepui Kukenam in Siberia Camo. CBI ditch light brackets. Cobra CB. Allpro skidplate.
If I could do it all over again, I would have bought a first gen and spent the remaining cash on mods.

Anyone in the Gilbert/Chandler area doing absolutely nothing? I could use some help with the 88. I got the slave cylinder off, just need some help with the line, and then fluid fill.

autozone cheap ball joint clamp can get it out. mixed results on using it to get a new one back in.

On a different note, it will be financially feasible soon. just gotta make black taco last.

    heres what im looking at/for

    4.0 v6
    5spd auto :)/)
    trd offroad
    access cab
    4x4
    tow package would be nice
colours, just not the bright red, and im not a fan of speedway blue either i think, or white. black, silver, dark tan like seths maybe if possible? or dark blue, or dark red.
NO crappy lift, no signs of abuse, etc etc etc, im paying for no work needed.
    shell would be a +
certified pre owned would be a +
    decent trimp would be nice.

do they take same battery as first gen? id like to swap my 240 dollar battery if so. i already have the h4's for it. i could put in mine but it seems wasteful of time.

Mine is pyrite mica, the darker red is Barcelona red I believe and the dark blue is indigo ink. What price range I'll start looking
