So I was looking for a camping spot in prescott ( next to impossible btw ), and I was going about 25-30 down this trail, as I was slowing down to make a right ( pretty blind turn ), I see this jeep cherokee going about 15-20 coming straight at me going left.

So I immediately slam on brakes, let off turn merge right and I clipped dude because he made no attempt to merge a little left. It was almost a head on collision lol, but thankfully it was only a minor love tap.

I've only had this truck for about a week! :(

Anyways, no insurance was filed, I'm getting parts at cost + 10% off. Does anyone know how to install the front bumper/fender flare? I'm sure I can do it, but it will take me more time than someone who's done it before lol.

Oh, damage to the jeep was just his fender which I will also be paying for (because I felt it was more my fault EVEN though he said he would probably be doing the same speed on that trail going the direction I was)

Sorry to hear about your truck Pizza. When I bought my Taco it was only 2 weeks old before my foreman decided to do donuts in the parking lot, lose control and slide into my drivers side door. $450 worth of damage. I was not happy!

I wouldnt ppay for anything for someone who is too lazy to swerve. The way you explained it, sounds like you swerved to miss, and if he had swerved a small amount, the whole thing could have been avoided.

Anyway, sorry to hear about your truck, I'd be so furious if someone hit me in that situation!

...well there's your problem. in that case most everything on these trucks is held on with tabs. there will be mucho tabs holding everything, i don't know exactly where they are so i'll give your thread a good bump :)

It was a blind turn, he just didn't react quick enough, I did. If I didn't would have been a head on collision lol

I would actually recommend popping out out and keeping the bumper in your garage until it's time to return the lease. That way, you will have a brand new bumper and they can't get you for any scratches on it. Also, the bumper comes painted?
