I am coming but I have almost no recovery gear. All I am bringing is an onboard air compressor, a tow strap, some heavy duty tire plugs, a supercharged Tacoma and a heavy throttle foot. VROOM!!!
I will tow that pre-runner around if he cant make it up the mole hills.

Hope you're not planning on having a bunch of people drinking and driving out on the trails.

Hopefully it's only the passengers drinking and hopefully they are older than yourself.

There is a big difference between having fun in your own house and going out on a trail with a bunch of other people. Even if the passengers are the only ones drinking.

Either way be careful and safe and have a good time.

Actually the more that I think about it the more ridiculous the whole acceptance of drinking on the trails sounds; regardless if its the passengers.

First off - you're 18. Granted, I did my share of underage drinking, but it wasn't out in public or putting anyone's safety or life in danger.

Secondly - Since when has drinking of any kind been allowed on the trails? It's alright if the drinking begins when camp is set up and no one is driving but having drunks in the vehicle, regardless of their position in the truck, out on the trails, is reckless.

Who would want a drunk person spotting them or being around them when their driving there vehicle?

The AZ section has definitely taken a turn for the worse. It used to have EXPERIENCED people contribute to it who were very responsible with the way they handled themselves out on the trails. Not anymore.

I am surprised the mods haven't chimed in putting a kobosh on the drinking. This is pretty much an unofficially TW sponsored event since the event was created on this site.

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/ar...-sycamore-today-jumping-stuck-taconess-7.html

You jokingly admit to be drunk on the trail when you drove your truck off the designated trail so I doubt it'd only be your passengers drinking.

Go out there and have fun without drinking. Just be safe and keep the booze off the trails.

    Stepping off my pedastool now.

I don't see anyone saying anything about boozes specific... i see "drinks" ummm last i checked it is over 110* out there and l personally like a nice frosty cold Coke and water, weather i am out on the trail, B.B.Q.ing swimming or just shooting the shit with other people.

So, i say dont take what other people say out of context just so you can have a soap box to preach your beliefs. Second i highly doubt that 97Yota is going to be bringing any "boozes" out there on account of his age...
    so dont target him.

As for the other drivers, i hope that they make the right decision, but as far as i am concerned people dont listen to others that direct there preaching at them.

    It wasn't a soapbox. it was a peda-stool.

I get what you're saying about a nice cold drink; but when there is a photo of the same group having a bottle of jack daniels on the hood of their truck it leads me to think otherwise. Also, I don't think think he meant his passengers would be drinking "coke and water."

It isn't preaching. It's common sense.

Fuck no I'm not going to ride out with you guys. Speaking up against drinking on the trails is talking shit? You're an idiot if you are defending them for it when it's obvious what kind of "drinking" they were talking about.

If anything my soapbox preaching will make them think twice about bringing booze out there and they can enjoy their coke and waters.

If you really want to show your concern about the issue in "your" hand, do a new thread on it. And if there is a point that you would like to voice it again in a later thread just reference your thread and we can leave comments there, so that we may stay on topic and be respectful to the other members because i dont want to read a bunch of off topic crap when i am trying to get details about a meet!
