I just don't like how packed telluride gets. Mammoth is fun too. And at wolf creek the mineral hit springs do fantastic things after a day at the mountain .

I like Tohelluride a lot but cant beat WC for pricing, lines, less foo foo , and usually more\better snow.

Burning ring of fire - 1/2 pint PBR, 1/2 shot of Tequila and 1/2 shot (Kips) hot sauce. Drop the shot in and chug away. Good stuff.

Well since I'm in Tucson, I'm only able to ride Ski Valley when I'm not taking leave from work. BUT this year, I do want to take some time off and go up to Snow Bowl in Flag and someone said something about Showlow? Sholo? Sholow? idk, but they said it was nice up there

Also, how are people strapping their boards down to an OEM roof rack?

Its show low. And do yourself a favor and come to sunrise instead of going to snowbowl. This is a much bigger mountain. Its cheaper. Its closer to you in tucson. Its just better.

I just put it in the bed. I don't have a rack.

    this is debatable.. :p

im more keen to Snowbowl.. ive been going to both for atleast 10 years now.. and Snowbowl is still my favorite..

do they get better snow? no..

but i like the atmosphere more, the park, the town and amenities, and the upkeep of the runs better than Sunrise.

I will give it to you on the town. I do like flag. But as for snowbowl i how packed it gets. You are constantly waiting in the lift lines. The up keep do you mean like grooming the runs? If so you are probably right about that too. I spend allot of time building my own hits and playing in the trees in powder. I only make surprise appearances in the park

I posted this thread a while ago. I ski, but my girlfriend boards, and this works perfect for her board (152). Holds 4 boards (2 bottom to bottom), and has a tilt feature to allow bindings to not ride on the roof.

yes on both of those. Snowbowl definitely keeps up with gromming better, especailly in their park.. which.. Snowbowls park is better as well imo.. and its upkept very well, since all the college students there are big boarders and work the runs, mostly the park.

plus.. i have alot of friends that llive up there and go to school there. they work on the mountain during the winter, do competitions, travel, are sponsored, etc. during the summer they do small jib contests.

they get snow from the local ice rink and build hits in the grass fields. its all sponsored and NAU's clubs put it together. its just a cool atmosphere and the guys i know up there are great and AMAZING at boarding.

let me see if i can find the video of my buddy winning the red bbull comp they had up there a few years ago.

Those jib contests are so fun to go too. Red bull does one up in downtown portland every winter. Its bad ass.

But to each there own. I hate when a mountain is always freshly groomed. But I am more of a back country rider than a park guy. I will do the park but I love riding the terrain and picking my lines finding hidden hits and cliffs. So that is why I pick sunrise over snowbowl. Oh and the most important part..... at sunris you are allowed to consume adult beverages in lift lines and on the lift .
