So I got a ticket in the mail the other day saying that I ran a red light at a left turn on southern and dobson. The vehicle in question is registered to my parents, and my visor was down so you can't see my face from the bottom of my eyes to the top of my head.

Who's fought the photo-nazis and won before? The picture shows the entire car is already in the intersection 0.2 seconds after the light turned red.

Aside from ignoring it and not answering the door for a few months, what can I do to fight this?

The owner of the vehicle just has to go to the court and show the picture of the driver is not him/her. They will ask who it was, the owner says he doesnt know, and there is nothing they can do. Ask me how I know . Now if your dad looks like the picture then you just got him a ticket :p

Who is named on the ticket, you or your parent? If your parent is named on the ticket, he/she can request a trial, show that the driver in the photo clearly isn't him/her, and hope for a dismissal.

No one is going to come knocking. If the ticket isn't paid by the due date, interest accrues. Come driver's license or plate renewal time, the DMV may simply refuse renewal until the ticket is paid.

ask to see your accuser (you have the right to)?

i mean what are they gonna do?

bring the camera in to testify lol

    just kidding

pony up and pay it, or fight it in court if you have a half way valid argument (then again, it may not be worth it)

if u actually read what the web site says about the ticket it is not a big deal! $50, thats it! Because it was caught on camera by a traffic light and there is no evidence it was u, it is ruled a moving violation which CANNOT go on ur record. Like i said $50, come on dude!

The best method is to take a hacksaw and cut down the camera pole, hit it over the head to knock it out, then drag it into the woods, dig a 6.5 foot deep hole, and bury it.

Go home, drink a few beers to ease the jitters of that murder you just committed and go to bed.

When it's time for court, go in and pretend like nothing ever happened. When the camera doesn't show up to testify, you get off scott free.

Except now you'll be haunted with the guilt of what you've done for the rest of your life.

You will have long sleepless nights as the final images of his face flash across your memory.

You will turn to drugs and alcohol to cope, eventually turning against your own friends and loved ones because they don't understand. And you can't tell them either, for fear of how they'll judge you.

Thats one option, option 2) Man up, its not that fucking expensive.
