    As the title says

Looking to get a first hand opinion from someone who actually has them on their truck. Long Tubes or Shorties

Posting here instead of in the performance to get someones real opinion, not just someone just reiterating the statistics that are listed online.

    How do you like them?
    What kind did you buy?
    Longs or shorts?
How much did you pay for them?
    Did you do them yourself?
    Gas mileage changes?
How much louder did it actually make it?
Coupled with any other cat back?

Any additional thoughts are always good!

PS: Please dont post, "Longs are good for top end or forced induction" "Shorts are good for lower end" "Shorts you have to weld on" "Longs are bolt in but require an O2 sim"..........I've searched

Well, now that we have that out of the way.
    Who's got them?

I bought Doug thorley long tubes

I loved them for about the first month, it was insanely loud but it was a good loud.

I had it with a flowmaster exhaust

Gas mileage went down because I reved it everywhere. But when I cruised the mpg stayed the same

I installed them myself not too hard just a little time consuming.

I'll try to post a sound video in a bit.
    Hope this helps

Pat's truck does sound beast with the DTLT... but it's also an extremely annoying drone over time riding in it. So... be prepared for that.

Also the stuff you listed in the original post, is all true and the most important aspect to why you'd run headers to start (aka long tubes on FI)... which is why I'll personally eventually be getting DTLT's to go with my supercharger... if I can stand the drone anyway lol.

On the freeway doing 70. Around town it almost sounds like its loping. You can cruise around my truck if you want. I believe the drone to be from the flow master more than the headers.

Cliff has DTLTs, a URD Y-pipe, 18" Resonator and 3" Magnaflow Catback on his truck, it sounds nice but gets raspy at high RPMs and is pretty loud. Stop by the shop if you wanna hear it.

I've read a lot of that.

I wanna stick with my stock Y pipe to try and keep the raspyness down as much as possible. The only exhaust I have right now is the Magnaflow catback offroad series.

Got any pics of this setup? Fender well shots showing the headers?

    Thanks
