I'm not a huge fan of my note 4. I think the biggest issue for me is that I'm used to having full control and Verizon Note 4 STILL doesn't have root!

So all the bullshit issues I'm having I'm used to not having due to the fact I could do what I needed.

With that being said, most likely going to sell my Note 4 soon and buy a Developer Note 4 so I can load my own custom tweaks to the phone. Stock can eat a bowl of dicks.

The phone is great as a typical consumer. My biggest issue that I don't like is I'm constantly running 2 gigs of ram. That's almost 3/4 of my ram. I find that crazy personally. I do notice it slows down and gets... glitchy?... when I do a bunch on it. I'm thinking of downloading Nova Launcher again on this phone. I loved it on my s4 previously.

FINALLY! Been working on figuring out what the heck itunes wanted me to do to allow me to submit my podcasts (work related) for days and finally got it sorted out so they would let me submit.

Side note "itunes support" isn't a thing. There's a call center somewhere that answers their calls but all they do is transfer you until your call "drops" and you start all over.

I run Nova, doesn't help with RAM issues. That's all the wonderful bloatware that comes with a stock phone. A typical consumer would like the phone more having more free RAM and runs smoother, but companies want to sell you their bullshit apps. I have maybe 20+ Verizon services that run on my phone all the time, I never use them.

Welcome to Apple! Their developer support is about the same if not worse.

That's just how apple operates. Our app has a hard time passing through their 'tests' because it calls out to a third party website which is a competitor of Apple so they tend to say it won't pass. The App is working just fine but they don't like the fact an Apple app is making calls out to their competitors website. They have gone as far as to ask us to switch our code to call on their services. Which will NEVER happen.

must be nice to be a company that is the top dog and just do whatever the hell you want and people have to bend to your whims. Not many companies can see that dependency on their product

Would any one know why my dad's computer stopped accessing the internet. He said he was just on his online class and it stopped working.

His computer is the HP 110-326 Model. I had an external USB network card that I assumed was in use. I've tried reinstalling the cd for the USB network but it says it can't find the USB when I insert it. Tried to direct wire via ethernet but I never installed the drivers for it so that isn't working either.

I did some troubleshooting and came up with a few errors.

Intel(R) Technology Access TAP Drivers (NDIS 6.30) adapter is experiencing driver- or hardware-related problems.
The Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller adapter is experiencing driver- or hardware- related problems.
The Qualcomm Atheros AR9485 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter adapter is experiencing driver- or hardware-related problems.

Specs says it has built in WiFi Chip, so not sure why USB network card is being used.

    You can try this:

On another machine get all the updated drivers for the devices not working from HP or the manufacture. Copy to USB drive.

On your dad's pc copy the files from the USB drive to the desktop. Then go to hardware manager and delete the drivers for anything that is reporting issues. Don't install or update drivers, just uninstall and delete the driver for it.

    Reboot

Install drivers from desktop. See if they will install. You can use the CD as well if you have it. If they install you are good to go. If they have issues installing and you do infact have the right drivers then it could be hardware. If all these devices are built into the mainboard (most likely) then the mainboard could be failing as well.

I didn't know it had a built in WiFi chip until today when I was doing more research.

I will try that and get back to you later.

I did. Fucking finally. Thought the laser I got was bad but turned out the prior owner broke a few wires when trying to fix it. I found a wire going to a stepper motor that wasn't fully attached. Once I got that going there was a stripped out worm gear that I replaced. How the gear got stripped is a mystery to me.

Weird thing is when I put the lid back on and the screws in, it would fail. I took it apart 5 times and now it works. Thought it was just a cheap connection somewhere and it would come loose again. So I took out the HDD and 'lightly' set it down on the table. Put the HDD back in, fired right up and works great. I still can't figure out what the lid was pinching or doing that would cause it to fail. It wouldn't load discs unless the top was off until I got it just right. Just fucking weird.
