Glad i could help out with the spanner wrenches. Mike said ur truck was running a little funny? If u think it has to do with ride height ur more than welcome to borrow them for a while until u get it fine tuned. I wont need them until i get my bumpers. And thanks a shit ton for figuring out how to get my e-brake unlocked. Leaving the truck behind would have majorly sucked.

Andrew thanks for putting this together- it was a blast. It was nice to see everyone again and to meet everyone i hadnt met before.

The pic doesnt do justice to how deep that washout actually was. Id say where i was standing was a good 3 1/2' below the road. I was almost chest deep.

Just a bunch of old crap
The "back way" to Crown King is a mess right now from the snowmelt and washouts. It is NOT prerunner friendly and a midsize group will probably take 4-6 hours to get up this 35 mile trail now, pending no major mechanical issues and no new obstacles in the road that are impassible or require being pulled/winched through. Last year this road was grated pretty smooth and could have been done with a prerunner but it always goes back to its old rugged self. Boulders fall into the road, many water crossings carve out new obstacles, and more. If you go up the back way, don't go alone and I recommend 4x4, high clearance, and a buddy. It's starting to warm up out there, so haul tons of water and be prepared to spend the night if you have real troubles. It still gets into the 30's and 40's up there.

Your pics from Rug Road look like the "easy" parts of the Crown King trail when it is ungraded.

Definitely. It's still my favorite trail run in AZ especially when it's all chopped up. Keep your eyes open in the AZ section for a Crown King run and meet. We seem to do at least one a year.
