Just a bunch of old crap
It's different on the various Google datacenters. Mine doesn't show that when I do the same search. Maybe it's a Mac thing

It's depending on what you have searched in the past. Current cookies, what server cluster you are currently browsing on, etc, etc, etc. Mine doesn't do that either. I went as far as Tacomaworld Rinz before it showed up in the list. Tried different variations but no go for me.

The baofengs get some good range on the open trail. I've took mine on the last trail ride to help spot my buddy and it was clear the whole time. Couple of times he was out of sight range, and the reception was still clear.

    Will do. :)
Think we'll be using frs/ham from now on.
Better range, better signal. And I'm tired of hearing every Tom, Dick and Harry on the airwaves.

Negative sir. We are waaaaaaaay too "verbally irresponsible" for the hammy air waves.

I think we should use the FRS for long distance chatter (like between base camp and a group thats out exploring) and for different groups when hiking etc. I'm not giving up CB :) Plus not everyone is going to want/be able to get FRS/HAM.

This. The sailor words fly like shit in a monkey cage during out trail runs, not good on long distance radio comms.

    Rug Road/Turkey Creek Camp-out 2015!!!

Ladies and gents, it's that time again!

    March 27th-29th (Friday-Sunday)

In-depth trail info on page one: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/arizona/265528-jeepandrews-az-trail-runs-campouts.html

Rug Road is a historic 23 mile ranching/mining trail that crosses the Galiuro Mts east of Mammoth, to Turkey Creek and the town of Klondyke. This trail is rated 3.5-4/5, depending on summer storms.

This trip is 2wd/prerunner friendly via alternate route (aka "backdoor penetration route") from either Thatcher (east of Globe) or Willcox (east of Tucson)

The 4wd group will be meeting at The Valero Gas Station in Catalina (time TBD), as well as making a final stop at the Circle K in Mammoth for fuel/final supplies before hitting the trail head. 2wd group shall determine their own meetup spot/time. I will be posting GPS coords' for backway routes very soon!

**IMPORTANT!-Larger than stock tires recommended and minimum 2" of lift and AT THE VERY LEAST rock sliders required for the 4wd route. Pinstriping also possible. CB radio is recommended to all 4wd route attendees**

    Rug Road highlights:

    -The Tire Chute
-Carpet Hill (steep-as-fuck off-camber shelf road with 700 ft descent in less than 3/4 mile)

-Moab-style wheeling and scenery at east 1/4th of trail
-Bad-ass camping in Turkey Creek at east end of trail

So I took my truck in for the fan motor replacement today and I asked them to air up the tires cuz I could see one was low. They ended up finding that the rim was cracked in two places. It never would have survived rug road. This is one time I was definitely happy that I spent money to let someone else work on my truck.

I'd go with steels, but I am a bit biased since both my jeeps have them
