    Recently, during one particular boring Sunday, I decided that I was going to try to do a hacked CB radio overhead console install I had seen on one of the jeep forums, and my XJ was going to be the guinea pig. Used a cheap Cobra 19 III I had lying around and took about 4 hours to do. Everything is internal to the console, including the built-in speaker from the CB. In the end, it turned out better than I could have hoped, and I'm now looking at doing this in center consoles etc on tacomas. Thoughts?

    I have a remote faceplate on my race radio just mounted up there. Looks really good just have to redo the speaker sometime.

    Thanks man! The way I mounted my speaker could have been better, if I had to do it over I'd mount a remote auxiliary speaker somewhere else or do something more cosmetically pleasing with it. Like I said, guinea pig setup :)

    Thank you! This is in my '97 Cherokee, in the overhead console between the front seats. Haven't got around to doing this in my wrangler yet.
