Found out last night my friend was one of the firefighters that just passed away on the fire. We did a fire academy last year in california and then we went our separate was but we still kept in touch. his name was Kevin wojack. I was shocked when i heard this he's only a 21 year old kid he had big heart nicest person you ever met. Seems like yesterday we were just doing the academy it was hell but we all work together made it through.

this is an email from my boss...

It is with great sadness that we announce the tragic death of one of our Care Ambulance colleagues and family members, Kevin Woyjeck.

Kevin worked as an EMT with Care Ambulance from August 2010 until September 2011, when he was hired by the Prescott Arizona Fire Department as a Wildland Firefighter.

Yesterday, Kevin and 18 other Prescott Wildland Firefighters were killed battling a wildland fire near the town of Yarnell, Arizona.

Kevin was a member of the elite Granite Mountain Hotshots, a team known for its extensive training and demanding fitness regimen. *This is the biggest loss of firefighter life since the 340 died at the World Training Center and the worst in a wildland fire since 1933.

Troy Hagen, CEO has ordered the immediate lowering of all Care Ambulance flags to half staff and authorized the wearing of morning badges for all uniformed personnel.

Care Ambulance is immediately notifying our Employee Assistance organization, the Holman Group to offer any necessary grief counse

RIP to all the firefighters everywhere in the world who puts their lives in danger to help people they have never meet, and will most likely never thank them. People who want to do this job have the biggest hearts in the world.

If you see a fire fighter, tell them thanks for everything they do for us.
