HID KITS

Welp, had another ballast go bad again. Looking to just get another full set of HID's for driving and fogs and save my other three ballast and bulbs as spares. Came across these two sets, what are our thoughts on this supplier? Best part is the lifetime warranty.

What about Slim Cubby or Morimoto Ballasts?

 

Honestly haven really researched that much. Have an old set that worked forever. Then switched to a new set that lasted 6 months. Every subsequent set has done the same.

 

The Morimoto ballasts from the retrofit source seem to be about the most robust out there.

Yup. No complaints so far. OP are u going to retrofit? It's definitely the best way to go, and safest.

Its a bi-xenon light so invalid argument. What do you bradas na no how jus dem lites?

 

The bi-xenon is just to shade the output when in low beam. The housings are not made for the HID output, which is why there is glare. The projector, specifically the lens, distributes the light in a straight even pattern that can be adjusted.

 

Phil a drop in HID kit, reguardless of bixenon or not, will cause glare to on-coming traffic

 

Hmmmm weird haven had issues with straight HID's for the 6 years, been running them. Ill probably stick with morimotos but Im not retrofitting, can give two shits about on coming traffic in a well lit city such as phoenix.

 

Well... regardless if your gonna retro or not, get the morimotos. I have 4 of their ballasts and they are running strong even after about 2 years and offroad abuse. You wont find a better ballast.

 

That seems to be the weakest link, looks like that is what I will do
