    HEy All ...

My 06 DCSB is in the shop right now.
Mechanic says it needs all three new U Joints on the Drive line and the LCA Bushings are split( ?)

Why I took it in ....

At about 35 mph, 45 mph, and above 50 mph I would get a vibration in the truck.... nothing violent, but enough to think I had an out of balance tire or something. Through some detective work I ruled out any wheel issues because if it was a wheel issue the vibratrions wouldnt stop when I take my foot off the gas. Right?. Also, sitting stopped in Neutral, I ran the motor up and down a few times and everything was ok, no vibes. So I figured trans or driveshaft or rear end.

So here is my question. I was planning on replacing my Daystar lift kit on stock shocks/struts with a better system in the spring with my tax refund money. (Adjustable shocks, ICON UCA, etc.) Mechanic says he can only get the whole LCA assembly and not just the bushings. Is there a relatively inexpensive repair for this that will hold me over until next spring, or is this something that I'm gonna have to break out the credit card and should get done right away?

I'm guessing the driveshaft u joints is 99% of my vibration issue, and the LCA is just a lucky find by the mechanic while trying to figure out the vibration issue.

    Any help would be appreciated.
